Do NOT use this moving service. These people are crooks. 1. The customer service was terrible. They refused to answer phone calls after getting the deposit 2. They made us move our moving date with just three days notice. Their excuse was that it was their brother's wedding. 3. Move was scheduled for 8am. They arrived at 9. 4. Once we were close to our destination, the driver unecessarily drove around the block several times to waste time. 5. We specifically requested no packing materials. Without asking, they wrapped up several items and then charged us for them. 6. Quoted estimate was $280. Final cost after some creative accounting was $440. My big mistake was that I didn't remember the $50 deposit we had already given them. They happily pocketed that as well. So the total was nearly twice the "estimate". 7. Moved very slowly on purpose. Two grown men picked up and moved a small AC that I easily picked up and installed myself 8. Supervisor was incredibly rude. He did nothing to help and then showed up with a contract that was allegedly unalterable with lots of creative accounting. Acted like he was doing us a favor by moving on that day, despite them selecting the day after rescheduling on us.

Do not use this company! This business seemed professional over the phone, I received a quick quote for a 3 bedroom move. But when the movers arrived in a budget truck that I could have rented... the problems began. So they complained that the bedrooms were larger than anticipated and it wouldn't fit in their truck. They would have to do 2 trips...Unbelievable!! I said no. So they only did a 1 bedroom move to an hour and a half away and charged me 590.00!!!

This moving company is seriously the best!! I moved in August in Manhattan and they were so quick to get the boxes from my old apartment packed up in their truck and brought everything to the new place in a timely manner. The elevator in my new apartment was down during my move and the moving guys didn't complain once about bringing everything up 4 flights of stairs in the 100 degree heat in August. They were so sweet and when I tried to help them carry some of the smaller items up they wouldn't let me. Very professional, quick, and nothing was damaged or broken in the move. Additionally their boxes were really good and sturdy as opposed to some of the boxes I bought from Uhaul which were flimsy and didn't hold their shape. I would use this company again in a heartbeat and would recommend to all my friends.

My first moving perfect . But my second one they give me a price them they increase the bill by $400. They send only two guys and she say 4 . 2 guys no good for a moving they guy they send was taking forever . The esperience was not good for one bedroom apt and not to many items . They send 2 guys to take longer and increase price not honest .

the first move was fine, the second move Diane give me a quote for a truck and 3 guys .them thy show only two guy with a high quote that expected from $550 dollars they jump to $785. beware .went they move my first time it was the same items more distances and charge less. the second time they send only two guys take more time and charge much more went I try to ask why the give me run around . not recommended thanks . they not honest on pricing they guys are set to charge more went they get to you house .

I needed a moving company to get me from NJ to PA, and Global 1 movers was professional from beginning to end. It was very simple to make a reservation over the phone and they were available for any questions I had about the moving process. They showed up on time and got right to work. The two men who came to move my stuff were quick but careful, making sure the furniture was well protected but still keeping track of time. This was important to me since it was considered a local move and they were paid by the hour. They didn't take breaks or even stop for lunch when i offered it, they preferred to keep working diligently until everything was finished. I was blown away by their professionalism. The only caveat I would add would be that they quoted $950 on the phone, but arrived with a different quote that was closer to the real total, but when I pointed this out they worked hard to meet my expectations. It only cost me about $1250 in the end, which was more than expected but around what this move would cost anyway. Most of the extra cost was simply because they charge for the materials used to protect the furniture, which can add up. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to move.

Even one star is too many. Arrived late in a truck too small for the job. Said they could do the move in two trips for more money and started adding on extras for items already negotiated. We were fortunate we had a plan B and called someone else. We told them as they did not arrive with a big enough truck we would expect our deposit returned. Found out later they had charged us a higher deposit than agreed in writing. We were able to contest and we did get our refund. Diane their customer service contact is in the wrong job. Be warned. Do not go anywhere near them. Moving is stressful enough and they are in a position where they know you need them and will just keep on adding to the bill.

A complete debacle. I moved from NYC to LA and my belongings didn't end up getting to my residence within the 21 day threshold that is spelled out in the contract. I advised Global 1 movers of my new address on 8/3, and the truck didn't arrive until 12 am on 8/26. The entire experience was such a mess. Limited communication with the company after initial sale and down payment. It was tough getting accurate information and periodic updates from Eric and his team.

I had a recent move from Boston down to a 2 bedroom apartment in NYC. I had done some research but a friend of mine suggested I hire global 1 movers because they are extremely professional and handle all items with extreme care. The workers showed up on time and did an excellent job packaging up all of my items. When they arrived to my new residence everything was perfect NO Scratches or dents to ANY of my belongings! Global 1 Movers are the best!! They are hard working professional movers with excellent experience and always on time!! Thank you Global 1 Movers you made my move so much easier for me and my family!!

I had a recent move from Southampton,NY to Alpine,NJ. It was a 5 bedroom 4 bathroom house and I needed help with packing all of my belongings up. I called Global One Movers based upon a recommendation and spoke to Eric Bar from the office about my move. Eric was extremely helpful in the reservation processing answered all of my questions. The date of my move the truck showed up on time, the guys did a great job packing all my belongings and nothing was damaged and was not scratched upon delivery. They were efficient, prompt, and extremely professional and I highly recommend them for any move large or small.
