I love living here. The only negatives are the drafty windows which I complained about, they supposedly fixed them and they're still drafty. I also wonder when they'll replace the spent bulbs on the 6th floor and clean the two large spots on the carpet. Also, they spackled a wall at least a year ago and left it with no paint. We'll see how quickly things get fixed after I post this.

I haven’t even been here a week yet and I already feel like I was sold a false dream. The area is amazing, morning/day doorman amazing! And so far a pretty clean building HOWEVER! The management is horrible I have enemies that have treated me better than they have. I haven’t been here a week and the fridge did not stop beeping, they come ,they leave stating they fixed the issue, I finally go grocery shopping because after moving ordering delivery is not in the budget! I do the grocery shopping and the fridge side does not get cold and the freezer side is wayyyy to cold causing freezer burn to my meats. Anyone knows that the meat loses its taste when it has that much freezer burn. I request a reimbursement was told yes until i sent the receipt of 110. and was told they will not pay me back due to the food still being safe to eat. I paid for quality good food that i work for not safe to eat food. I’m not an animal. Things happen outside of our control but this should not happen to a new tenant let alone be my responsibility. Im just asking for my groceries and a workable fridge. Feeling disappointed and defeatedUpdate: I was given a dirty fridge as a replacement. Fire alarm has gone off multiple times a day and week. It has annoying lady that repeats that the fire alarm has been set and takes over 10 mins for them to shut it off. There has been no fire the system is broken according to the front desk. If there was a real fire how would we know? Please don’t move here !!! I haven’t been here a month and its been a headache since I moved in with one issue after another

If you're looking for a luxury apartment building with a friendly and attentive staff, I highly recommend 140 Prospect Avenue in Hackensack, NJ. From the moment my wife and I moved in, I've been impressed with the level of service and care that the staff provides. The concierge is always available to help with anything we need, from helping with groceries to calling for the elevator. The doormen are always friendly and welcoming, and they make us feel safe and secure. The maintenance staff are also top-notch - they're always prompt and responsive to any requests we have. Special thanks to Louis. And the cleaning staff does a fantastic job of keeping the building and our floor clean and tidy.In addition to the great staff, 140 Prospect Avenue also has a lot to offer in terms of amenities. The building has a privately owned fitness center, a snack room, private salon, and a neighboring restaurant, Forte. The apartments are also spacious and well-appointed, with high-end finishes and appliances.Overall, we’re extremely happy with our experience at 140 Prospect Avenue. The staff is friendly and attentive, the amenities are top-notch, and the apartments are luxurious. I highly recommend this building to anyone looking for a great place to live in Hackensack.

The black front desk lady on shift 9/12 around 5pm was incredibly rude and started aggressively raising voice and confronting me while I was on a delivery. Please do not start trouble who came to serve and help your tenants. You are not my boss. You may have forgotten about your duties, but it is also your job to call and serve your tenants. This was not the first time this same, nasty lady started trouble. Nasty place and management.

Great place to live ,1. Management is okay2. Consierge are always nice3. Love my my apt , wish building can go co-op , i would buy the place. However as might expect , when living with other tenants some do not follow the rules of the building . I.E1. Do not leave your car parked in the middle of the corridor , your not special , move yo shyt to the side like every one else .2. Parking lot , shyt is not a race track , slow down turning them corners , if your tires are screeching then your going to got dam fast3. I feel better now .

My father who was a resident at the apartment complex had a recent stroke that required he leave the apt abruptly because of his medical needs and inability to return immediately to independent living. The care and compassion directed toward my dad (and me) was beyond expectation , especially from such a large organization. Nancy truly went out of her way to help make everything as smooth and easy for us as possible. Thank you!

Not a bad place, however the night shift for the front desk, LAZY!!!! doesn’t help at all, always on their phone and let anyone go upstairs without asking who or where they going or calling making it unsafe for all. They leave the carts everywhere and also there’s never any carts during the night. You guys need to change the night shift 3pm and on. Make this building better by following what we all were sold on.

The building is old but the rooms are big. I like the location but the elevator is a constantly down. There hasn't been a community manager on site in several years.

I have rented here for two years now and this building is anything but luxurious. They sell you an experience that doesn’t exist. The building management is horrible, never available to help with the constant issues. I have experienced everything here from bed bugs, ants, roaches, constant construction noise for two years without warning or any notice to the point where I had to relocate out of my home office for work, elevators are always broken, plumbing requires constant attention, the building has mold everywhere, and there is apparently a fire every month where apartments burn down mysteriously and the fire alarm rings almost three times a week for twenty minutes at a time. I have had to stay out of my apartment for instances of a few days several times throughout the years here and they wouldn’t even listen to my request of a rent discount. My apartment has flooded entirely twice, they replaced part of the floors and left the sanded residue all over my apartment and in the heating equipment which they also refused to help me get cleaned or replaced. My apartment has smelled badly and grown mold ever since that they are in denial of. The water has to be shut off almost every other week for repairs that seem to not work. The laundry is also constantly not in service and the management will tell you to call the company to come fix it. On weekends the trash piles up so badly people have to leave it in the hallways and visitor parking is not available. They also lose packages and do not allow deliveries to your door. The building also does not have enough parking available for tenants and is not handicap friendly. Despite many attempts to bring relief to my stay here, the management suggested to “terminate my lease and rent to someone else” rather than attend to my concerns. The staff is unbelievably rude after you sign that lease so don’t do it!

If I could leave 0 I would. This is horrible. Run! The management company does not care- the building is in disarray. The apartments are outdated and the heating/AC does not work. The realtor is a liar- do not listen to her. Nothing functions! The common areas are filthy- laundry machines do not work. The building is not secure. There is no way to contact anyone in charge as there is no building manager and the regional manager is unresponsive. I actually do not even think the management company cares.

I am at my wits end on this apatment building. We moved here in 2014 before they switched the management people and it was great originally. Then the Kraigman and Smith stopped caring about the building. In last three weeks the fire alarm has gone off over 7 times in early hours of the morning, and it's hard to get my little one back to sleep. Also the pool is colosed since COVID and no word if it will be open this summer. The doorman are really nice and helpful, they go out of their way to help me or my aunt when we get the groceries to a cart. IF this apt wants us to renew in October they should open the pool (it used to be open all year with skylights) and please please fix the fire alarm. I wonder if they setting the fire alarms off just to get rid of the less paying tenants like me, but that's just a guess

Everyone is responsive. Help is great. Repairs rapid. Lots of helpful people. Hope that we get a community room. Library needs organization, but is nice to have. Need more visible security. Too bad access to garage is not handicap accessible. Those stanchions could go as they interfere with handicap accessibility.
