HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH DENISE - I recently rented a 9' van from the Green Brook, NJ location at the Arthurs Storage facility. On Monday 4/19 I was able to go to the facility and speak with one of the employees, Pam and take care of the reservation, I returned the van later that evening and left the key in the drop box. I returned to the same facility the following Thursday 4/22 to rent the same van again to continue my move. I spoke again with Pam who was very courteous and helpful and explained that if I was unable to return the van the next day (Friday 4/23) within the 24 hours then I would likely be charged an extra $20 for another day. I understood the procedure for drop off and proceeded to complete the application. I called again later to verify with another employee (Denise) who again explained that it would be an extra charge of $20 if the van was kept later. Needless to say my move took longer than expected and we decided to keep the van thinking that it was worth the extra $20. I called this morning (Saturday 4/24) to explain that the van was still in my possession and that I would be dropping it off later today. The same employee whom I spoke with yesterday afternoon (Denise) answered the phone and was extremely rude and began screaming over the phone about the fact that she needed the van there this morning. She insisted that she did explain this to me the day before on the phone and that I would be charged an 'inconvenience fee' of at least $100. I spoke at length with both Pam and Denise prior to renting the van on both days and at neither time was I told about the '$100 inconvenience fee'. For the first rental on Monday 4/19, dealing with Pam was a pleasure as she was very polite and answered all of my questions, she even welcomed me back as a return customer when I came to the office again on Thursday. It's highly upsetting that on the contrary, Denise was extremely rude and disrespectful as she spoke over me and would not allow me to convey my apologies due to what I deemed as a simple misunderstanding. Instead she screamed over me insisting that she did specify that the van needed to be back by 8:30 am and that now I would be charged an inconvenience fee. As I'm sure you are aware, moving is stressful enough and I personally would prefer to perhaps pay a bit more to be treated with dignity and receive decent customer service rather than trying to save a few dollars. I understand that Uhaul is a large corporation and it certainly is convenient but I am highly disappointed in the manner by which I was treated today. Regardless if I am wrong, if I were rude (which I was not), I am still the customer and should be treated with kindness and courtesy! I understand that I may be charged $100 late or inconvenience fee, I know that I do not have much say over that but I can control where I spend my money. I realize that it is highly possible that nothing will be done about this but I will be writing a review and letting others know about my unfortunate experience.

I am not one to go and give ratings and comment on a place of business even if I am not totally satisfied however this has by far been the worst customer service experience I have encountered.If I could give this place 0 stars I would . The manager was extremely rude both over the phone and in person . She was frustrated because of an employees mistake but took it out on paying customers. And after expressing how upset I was by this she was nothing but dismissive.I have never dealt with such unprofessional behavior. I would never recommend giving this place any business because of her.

My experience with them was very pleasant and went as expected. I found them to be accommodating and friendly... I used them once with their smaller van but do plan on using them again in a couple weeks with a bigger truck!

The worst place ... talk to the customers very rude... does not give proper information.... you can even ask questions. I own by on business if someone was to ask me for a u- haul place that they can rent a vehicle it will not be this place at all. The most rude person every. I WOULD NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS PLACE . IDIOTS...... UHAUL SHOULD TAKE HER LICENSE AWAY....
