I have nothing but praise to say about owner of Merchants of Asia. When two bottles of red wine fell and broke on my beautiful carpet, he gave me a discount on not only cleaning the seriously damaged carpet. but also a significant discount on another rug. ( same price I paid four years) He was courteous in his dealing with me and I would not hesitate to do business with him on the future.

Knowledgeable craftsman. We have purchased new rugs, repaired older rugs, had rugs blocked and had all of our rugs cleaned by them. I highly recommended them.

I cannot be more pleased with the meet and his crew! We needed work done on two rugs; one was to put a backing on a tapestry to use it as a rug, and the other was to put a loop on a smaller rug to make it a tapestry behind. He suggested both get cleaned and I agreed. I can tell you seamlessly that both actually all for tasks have been done unbelievably professionally beautifully. We feel like we have two new products, we could not be more happy, and we could not recommend them more!

Amit and Raj spent so much of their time, showing us many rugs and laying out our favorites. These rugs are heavy. I was not in the market for an authentic, hand made rug. However, after understanding that these rugs are a work of art and also hold their value, or even appreciate, we pulled the trigger. A very nice machine rug will lose its value right after buying it. The rug we purchased is absolutely beautiful. Amit was fantastic. He was so patient in answering our questions and helping us make the right decision.

I trust this place for all my valuable antique oriental rugs needs. For many years, they have cleaned, treated, and repaired all my collectible oriental rugs with profesionalism, expertise and a caring approach. In fact, one of my oriental rugs had a nasty, stubborn stain that was very hard to get rid of even though I used all types of cleaning supplies. Finally, I decided to bring this rug for further treatment. After a couple of weeks, (to my amazement), I couldn't believe my eyes as this antique rug was like new. We found Merchants of Asia to be a well established and stocked rug store. There was a very large selection of area rugs in a variety of sizes. The selections available were comprised of all beautiful and exotic patterns representing the culture of different countries in Asia. Because of the large availability we found it difficult to settle on one specific rug. Fortunately we finally were able to choose the perfect one for our room. Working with Amit (the proprietor) we found his knowledge and demeanor to be very helpful and professional in our selection of our fantastic rug. We highly recommend Merchants of Asia to anyone interested in finding a high quality, culturally sensitive rug.
