Generally the vegetables/produce isn’t that fresh and they don’t really store things properly. I purchased a couple of batters (for dosas).. As soon as I opened the seal on one of them to use for the first time, it had white fungus inside (see the pictures attached here closely) :( - note that the expiration date is for the next month. Such a waste! We have had similar issues on other occasions as well. Don’t recommend this store. Go to Patels or Patidhar even if it’s a bit of a drive.

They sell rotten food items with much extended expiration date and are a serious health threat. Just purchased grocery and the Samosas were rotten, bad smell, fungus all over, where as the expiry date was mentioned 2024. I don't know if any measures are taken to ensure food safety.

PLEASE PLEASE verify the products expiration dates for any products you buy from this store.Just seen Frozen Sweets expired on 2020. It’s been sitting on the shelf for more than 3 years after expiration. another entire rack full of halwa’s expired 5months back.Still can’t believe how they sell products that was expired long back, it’s not single item or product, myself seen more than 15-20 items expired long back and sitting on the shelf’s.Just noticed some other reviews for expired products and it’s looks like same case for many years, so they don’t bothered to fix this problem for long time. I believe we should report to authorities as it is a very serious issue.

A good option for indian grocery for people around Bridgewater, Bound brook. It has most of the items available, fresh produces are not always so fresh, and too many options of vegetables compared to Patel brothers. Still serve the need for the people who don’t want to make a trip to big Indian grocery store.

Very nice store. Friendly staff & the owner is also very nice. Good parking space and they are never out of stock for any of the essential items. Return policy is the best too. As long as you have the receipt.

Had many bad experiences at Bhavani but didn’t complain until today. First, they charged me twice for an item but I didn’t see it right away. The woman said they’d have to check their cameras but “it’s been too long”, so she didn’t refund me any part of it.I bought a bag of rice 20 days ago, which I only opened today (as I was away and didn’t need to cook!). There are tiny ants in the entire rice bag crawling around. I returned it. This place needs to be inspected for compliance for health and safety. Will not be returning here!

I never usually share a review but this time I would like to make sure to do it the staff working here are so pathetic and rude no sense of customer service I don’t understand why people put up business and start work when they do not have minimum decency as to how they should treat their customers very disappointed.

Wide variety of Indian veggies and Dry snacks. Store is well maintained. Shelves and Freezers are always stocked with many Indian food items. They have full range if Indian cosmetic items as well. I have been their customer from past 11 years. There was never been a bad experience. The owner and his wife, knows me by name and always ask about how me and my family are doing. Their prices are much better and reasonable than other Indian grocery stores like Patel Brothers, Patidaar and Star Bazaar. Don’t believe the negative reviews people write here. Some people are very demanding and when their unfair request has not been fulfilled, they just simply go on google and write negative reviews but they don’t think twice that their childish and immature behavior costs hundreds and thousands of dollars to the business in terms future potential sales especially when it’s not their mistake. NO ONE SHOULD DO THAT. REVIEWS SHOULD BE GENUINE SO THAT IT HELPS PROSPECTIVE BUYERS AS WELL AS THE BUSINESS. I still remember when I was inside this grocery store one day and an old man around 50 years of age was acting so rude and arguing with the owner for not allowing him to buy more than 1 bag of atta. The owner clearly put a note that said “1 bag of atta per family.” I was so upset and wanted to intervene but because the man was almost 50 years of age, a decency should be expected at least from himself. I felt bad for the owner that he had to deal with this nonsense. He was just allowing 1 bag per family so that everyone has a chance to buy at least 1 bag of atta since the Indian government banned the export of atta. If he would have allowed to buy more than 1 bag to that gentleman, the owner would have made the money the same day rather than waiting for the next day to sell the same bag to the different family. I seriously have no word for people like that customer. “America mein aa toh gaye, lekin decency nahi sikhey” I feel good on seeing that the owner of this Bhavani Grocery store is putting his customers and their families first than ??

If I could give 0 star I would give it! My bf and I stopped by to get atta and the sign clearly said “one per family”. They refused to let us buy 2 bags. Mind it we were paying separately and could show ID to prove.
