My first few visits to the salon went fantastically. Suzanne did color correcting and highlights. She made sure to keep hair health in mind when doing my hair. Unfortunately she was unavailable during my last visit so I went with a different stylist. It is now a year since my visit there and my hair has still not recovered.
During my session last June, I asked for more highlights, I wanted to be blonder. I definitely thought this was a simple task as this is what Suzanne had done multiple times prior. I mentioned to Amanda that I had a really bad experience at a salon once before and they dyed all my blonde over with more blonde, creating severe damage. By the end of the session, I realized Amanda had done the same exact thing. She redyed all of my highlights and left bleach on my head for too long. I walked out of the salon with bright yellow hair all over my head. The damage was already visible by then as well. It looked like I had lost inches of hair. I was in the biggest rush ever and just accepted my fate and left. In total, I spent about 5 and a half hours at the salon. I thought I went in for simple highlights and came out with the biggest regret ever. Now a year later, my hair has not recovered completely. I cut much of my hair off and half about an inch and a half of damage left on my ends.

My daughter and I have been going to Cherry Blow Dry Bar-Glassboro for a few years now, for hair services and lashes. All the stylists are talented professionals, sincerely friendly, and personable! I always feel "home" when I walk through the door. Last week, I booked hair and makeup appointments, for my daughter, for her junior prom on 5/3. A little over three weeks before her prom, one of our family pets began showing signs of dental pain, and very unexpectedly, he was diagnosed with oral cancer, and had to be put down, within a week. I was in disbelief, and understandably, inconsolable. With all my focus on my cat's care and heartache, I ended up making my daughter's appointments, on very short-notice, but the ladies still squeezed her in. This was the first appointment my daughter was able to drive by herself, so I wasn't there to see the beautiful transformation. I watched a 17 year old teen, in sweatpants and no makeup, walk out the door, and two-hours later, a breath-taking Princess walked back in. It was the first time I smiled, in nearly a month! Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to ask my daughter which stylist did her hair yet, but the stylist was amazing. She did an excellent half up/down do. My daughter's hair looked exactly like the picture she showed me. Angelina did a full makeup service. She made my daughter look stunning! I know I am partial, but after she put on her dress, she looked like a Hollywood actress about to walk the red carpet. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all the ladies at Cherry Blow Dry Bar, for making her night perfect, and for putting a smile on my face amid the heartbreak of suddenly losing our family pet.
