Website is extremely misleading and “concealed carry welcome” sign is so off putting. Not a family friendly place. Will not bring my family here or buy from here again.

There’s nothing quite like the fresh country air, overpriced apples and the “concealed carry” sign!100% recommended for people who love to deal with rude staff, dirty looks, sad animals, and overpriced produce!

Not your moneys worth! Staff is unfriendly. Not recommended for a nice and calm farm day.

He stopped us and stared at the only person of color and told and assumed from the beginning we were going to steal. Telling us we were not allowed to walk around and look.

They have a Concealed Carry Weapons Welcome sign displayed at the entrance. Not safe for families.

We stayed for all of twenty minutes. The concealed carry sign wasn’t the family friendly welcome we were hoping for, the animal pens and cages were cramped and filthy, and there was garbage, debris, falling structures and rusted out farm and construction equipment and materials everywhere. It was less of the rustic and more of the dilapidated than we would have liked, especially with a toddler picking up everything off the ground (rusty metal, broken glass, vinyl siding, etc etc)We didn’t bother with the hayride or pick your own.The staff we encountered however were very friendly and very nice towards our little one and happily showed him the baby chicks. This is very much a working farm that happens to be open to the public. Not to be mistaken for a family farm activity.

It was an easy trip to this rustic farm for a weekday apple picking excursion. The country store is small, but if houses a lot of options. Unfortunately for us, there were no apple ciderdonuts on the day we visited. The woman atthe store was really welcoming and very helpful. All the different kinds of apples in fhe orchards are right next to each other, so you can pick many vareties without having to walk miles. Also, the trees are small, so that was helpful (we're short people). The only reason for my 3-star rating is that we didn't know it would be $10 per person topick apples (plus the cost of what you pick,of course). All other farms I looked atbefore deciding on Hillview had their ratesposted online. Because there isn't anything else to do here on a weekday (the only animalsthey have are rooster, chickens and twopeahens) I would have gone to another farm a litte further from me that had a less expensiveentry fee.

Good apples, really courteous, warm atmosphere. Great donuts. Many fallen trees. Didn't care for them picking the peacock feathers and then selling them.

I have been coming here for years, but today there was a sign that said Concealed Carry Patrons Welcome. Nothing says fun like getting on a tractor with your children to pick apples with someone that might have a concealed weapon. We are never coming back!

So over all I gave that place a 2/5 the only reason they got a 2 is because it’s fairly priced compared to other placesBut the farm it self is smallThe tractors are Difficult to get onNot baby friendlyThe farm is very over grown they don’t mow anything for people to walk around and get applesGlad we got there when we did otherwise we would have been waiting a long time

This will be the last visit we do at hill view farms. We came here because it’s close but next year we will take the drive and go somewhere that’s better and more nice looking. $10 per person to get in and you have to walk up. They used to have a hayride and it was $5 per person. Not to mention buying the apples you pick and anything else you want. Where you go to pick the apples is an absolute mess and disgusting to try to even walk through there. One of the owners (male) watched us sort through our apples as we didn’t realize our toddler tossed apples in the bottom of our stroller and I said “let’s give the apples to the lady in the store and she can sell them there” there was nothing wrong with the apples and they sell apples in the store anyways! Well he decided to turn around and say “you take what you pick and pay for it! I can’t put them back on the tree!” Well obviously you can’t put them back on the tree. We ended up paying for the apples as we didn’t want to deal with him again and he followed us into the store. This place has definitely gone down hill over the years and we won’t be returning.

When we arrived, one of the loose hens jumped on my husband! We picked apples the other day which was fine.We bought two pies at $22 each to gift to friends. When we opened them it was a few random apples, and water with the cinnamon stuck at the bottom. We were embarrassed to have brought that to friends. We emailed to inform them and there was no response or apology. That really ruined our experience and we felt ripped off. We spent $20 just as an entrance fee and &3.99 a pound. If we are doing the work, shouldn’t it be somewhat cheaper than the grocery store?Definitely would not come back here.
