I’ve been a Santander customer for many years. The Garwood branch is my favorite!! Every time I go into the branch I am welcomed and helped. The branch manager Lulu is always so pleasant and helpful no matter what time of the day you walk in. The bank tellers are also amazing!

I really want to curse here but I will not. This stupid company caused my credit score dropped 96 points for an unbelievable stupid reason. I did not miss a single payment ever since I have credit score and it was all ruined because that that stupid autopay on their stupid website stopped working for 3 months and they flagged my report !!!!!! I started an auto loan with this company about a year ago, I did not know this company before, the car dealer asked me to use this company. I setup the autopay about a year ago. Then this year on June I found the my credit dropped 96 points and I then found out that my autopay just stopped working for 3 month already. I did not receive any notice that I missed payment and they just flagged me on my credit report. I immediately paid the whole amount and I called the customer service. I thought it will be easy since they can see clearly that my autopay stopped 3 month ago, all they need to do is just cancel the flag. But they replied that they totally understand my situation so they will remove the late fee. BUT according to their stupid rules, it is not their fault, a late pay is a late pay, there's nothing they can do about the flag on my credit. I then calls the customer service to find out how to set up autopay on their stupid website. It takes almost 30 mins for they own customer service to find the autopay settings. I just received my dispute result. My credit increased 39 points after the dispute but the late pay is still there. I got an late than 30 days payment record for no reason. I am going to dispute again this just makes no sense.

Sometimes I wish there were options here for negative stars. Terrible!! Every time I'm there they need to count the money on average at least 4 times. I'm not scamming you, the staff should be competent enough to count it once having it right or maybe twice double checking with a machine. After all, I am trusting YOU. Loans--few words for this: just forget it. After signing your name a thousand times over, they were not very professional at all explaining the terms and answering some of my questions. It seemed like they were more interested in getting my signatures instead helping the client (me). Online banking: Awful! It was the worst banking interface I've ever seen. I need to type my password in 4 times then answer 3 different security questions every. single. time. Why? I understand it for security and I'm all for it however, have you research other online banking forums? Look at the "top dogs" for guidance. After calling customer service I dealt with the most rude staff representative possible. She was not competent in what she was doing and eventually said, "OK I'm done hearing from you now. Goodbye." Are you serious? Try getting a website that works! Slick marketing: This one was really my decision and I'm partially to blame, but feel it's important to mention it. They hassle you time to time so much waiting in line to sign up for a credit card. I was going on vacation soon and just happen to finishing a loan process at the time as well. So one of the employees offered a credit card to me and would not leave me alone. Literally, no matter what I said that staff member kept trying to sell me on their current credit card promotion. I understand the bank may mandate certain things, market their promotions anyway possible, but when a customer says declines the offer a bunch of times--that's a sign. Just stop right there. Choose a different bank folks! I have a loan with them AND a credit card so I won't leaving them sooner...

The bank is decent overall, but this branch... I'm not sure if it's the design of the place or just the people... but this location is not friendly or welcoming. I walked in, and needed to speak with a bank representative.... and no clear direction of where that would be. I start walking and then hear a voice.... "can I help you". It came from behind a 1/2 panel wall, where an employee was sitting. After walking over to him (yes, he didn't get up.... was busy sitting at his desk), I went over what I needed... and he started to work on it. During that time... he had to call a central number to set up a new account.. which lead to question that he asked me... but he clearly wasn't listening to my response. Over 30 mins later and the account is finally set up and I leave.... something that should not have taken more than 10 to 15 mins to take care of.
