I have been to many ulta beauty stores in nj, this is by far the worse one. The employees here are not welcoming and customer friendly. I had to hunt someone down in order to get some assistance. The vibe and energy here is just off.

Amazing hairstyles ( Norbeya ) is literal goddess for hair. Respectful and honest about your hair and does her best to what you want in the limits to your hair. 10/10 come and be blessed!!

I was at Ulta about a week ago to get my favorite NYX lip liner but my color wasn't available. I'm always nervous about trying anything different but Coco assisted me and matched me with a great smashbox lip liner! Now I have a new favorite. Thanks CoCo, I'm so glad that you were there to help me.

Let me just start that the 5 stars is literally just for the Stylist Norbeya. She absolutely amazing. No matter what issues I have she is able to fix my hair to accommodate. No matter if it's a color correction, scalp issue, hair health, gray coverage, fantasy color, hair cuts, or up-do she is able to do it all perfectly. Something I love about her most is that she is honest and understanding. She's not going to do something to your hair that will cause it become damaged or if it won't look right, but will give you options on alternatives or a plan to get you were you want to be! Will always recommend her, as far as I know she's the only stylist that's been there the longest.
The only thing I don't like and will give one to no stars is the salon manager which starts with a M I think. She's very unprofessional. Have witnessed her give attitude or out right raised her voice at Norbeya even with clients around. To which Norbeya is always professional but its a very unhealthy work environment to be around a manager like that. I remember the previous manager Leslie I think her name was and she was always professional gave out compliments, but mostly she was always working. The manager now I don't know, but she's not managing the salon. Ive seen Norbeya do more managing of the salon even doing inventory checks, and Planos. Which if you have a salon manager there than that shouldn't be done by the stylists.
Kuddos to Norbeya who can multi-task and do her stylist duties as well as managing a whole salon! Honestly only reason I go to Ulta is for Norbeya.

I was there on Sunday one day before Memorial Day. Really disappointed. The store was a mess. Girls were chitchatting by the counter having a long conversation between them . No care in the world if someone needed help or stealing for that matter. Makeup displays were all over the place. Colors were not coordinated. I’ve been to other Ultas and by far this one takes the cake on the hot mess. Wow if I got paid for doing nothing that would be an understatement. Lucky I gave this store 2 stars.

I truly did not want to go by the reviews and I was willing to still give this place a try… close to home, looks like it’s a nice place, BUT truly unprofessional, the excuses one after another, the first stylist had to get surgery apparently after booking our appointment, the second stylist had to leave at 4:00 so she needed to move our appointment up to 3:30, confirmed appt through text for 2:30, gave me a call the following day to let me know it had to be moved up for 2:30… as much as I was beginning to get upset at the many changes for an appointment I booked practically a week in advance. I was trying to keep the appointment for my daughter who I made clear to the stylist needed this for banquet ceremony. The saddest part of it all, I receive a call the day of her appointment from the stylist trying to cancel the appointment completely once more because she said she wasn’t feeling good and would not be able to keep the appointment. Truly was a horrible experience just trying to book an appointment. I will not be using this place EVER! And I thank God for “Ciro’s in Elmwood Park” whom I should have booked an appointment from the very beginning, always have been so professional, welcoming and he takes pride in his work and your hair will look beautiful and healthy!! Awesome with color, natural or vibrant colors… he is the person to go see!!! Last min he booked my baby girl and she will be ready for her banquet ceremony. Ultra your staff has to do better, awful experience trying to book with this salon.

Don’t go to the salon here unless you’re desperate I went for a haircut because I am 9 months pregnant and really needed my ends cut I was called mid week and told if I can change my appointment to 5pm and take a different stylist I said sure then the day of my appointment I get called an hour before asking if I can come in early I said I could not unfortunately since I already accommodated them the first time and my appointment was in an hour the stylist Danielle said it was fine but I knew when I hung up that it seemed like it was already going to be an issue showed up with my wife she went first got her hair cut by the same person she was treated well she got a good haircut and they even straightened her hair then I was her last customer she rushed I told her I just need my ends cut any stylist could see my ends were bad and need a big cut she sits me down was super rough with me when shampooing then when I sit down she cuts my ends but I felt like she didn’t cut much off I thought what do I know she’s the stylist I’ll be able to tell better when it’s dry and straight I get to the end of the haircut and I see her with the straightener she does the first two pieces of the front of my hair cause I guess they were a little puffy and then she’s like OK you’re all done I say thank you and thought it was weird that she didn’t also straighten my hair then again my hair is way longer than my wife’s so I figured it OK maybe it’s not part of the haircut it’s fine I’ll straighten it today then today I go to straighten my hair and I noticed that my hair barely looks cut the end still look terrible, and my hair is poofy because of the way that she blowdried it this was a horrible experience wish my wife never tipped if you’re going to have a bad attitude and you were going to do a subpar job on someone’s hair, especially a pregnant person You might as well just say that you’re not able to take the client and I could’ve gone somewhere else. This was a horrible experience and now I have to go somewhere else to correct it after I already paid them. Avoid wasting your money

Very mad manner to talk to customers. I was at this store last Thursday to buy a lipstick n liner . I got my stuff and when I went to check out the staff had a problem with my gift card and called the manager . When I showed the manger my email with the gift card from Ulta she kept saying it’s. A scam and why will Ulta give a gift card if I am not a diamond member . I asked her to call customer service. She kept telling them too that i am not a diamond member and it’s a scam. The customer service spoke to me and verified my card details and told the manger the gift card was from them and they have to put the card n PIN number . The card worked I got my stuff and no thank you no bag ? plus no change . Just because I was sn Indian she taught I was scamming for $15 dollars
