An appointment does not matter. If you do not make it in time they pass your name. Each hair dresser has their regulars and will ask you if they can service the regular first. A few are bilingual and will speak under their breath or to each other in another language which you may understand. You get what you pay for.

I have been going to Supercuts for a few years now and I follow one haircutter. Her name is Mei. I met Mei at the East Rutherford store and followed her to Garfield. She is that good! She gives a precision haircut! She listens to me every single time no matter how specific I am. I have a tendency to try and trim my own hair which always ends in disaster. Mei cheerfully fixes it and makes me look like a celebrity! She is remarkable! I cannot say enough about her and I will follow her wherever Supercuts sends her. Thankyou Mei.

Been going to Supercuts for years now and love that I found them. In particular Jen and Mai are so skilled, professional, friendly, and more importantly, do a fantastic job with my hair. I couldn't ask for better stylists or salon!

I have been a loyal customer to the supercuts location in east rutherford for years. I received a call informing me that as of February 1 2023 the store in east Rutherford will be closed. My favorite stylist Jen will now be at the Garfield location. I will now be a customer at this location because of Jen. She is very friendly and is never in a rush and does a great job. As soon as I entered the business with my son, I noticed a cashier ringing up a customer, while another employee was in the corner on her cell phone. After waiting for 5 minutes, the second employee approached me, and I explained that I was waiting to sign in with the cashier. Subsequently, when a cashier finished with her customer, she inquired if I needed assistance. I informed her that my son needed a haircut, leading her to instruct him to sit in the chair. She then called for Dina's help, but confusion arose when Dina assumed I wanted Jen's assistance. Despite this, Dina eventually took over.While my son was getting his haircut, Jen instructed me to come and pay, mentioning that they were closing as we were their last customer. After settling the bill of $20 with a discount, I sat down. During this time, I engaged in small talk with both Jen and Dina. When my son's haircut was completed, a surprising incident occurred. Jen loudly insisted that I had to tip Dina, despite my son already intending to do so. This left me feeling disgusted with Jen's behavior, and I chose to leave without tipping.Reflecting on the experience, it became apparent that Jen's actions might have been influenced by our different ethnic backgrounds. From the start, there was a lack of immediate acknowledgment and courtesy. Jen's reluctance to assist was attributed to the closing time, although she did not communicate this promptly. Throughout the visit, Jen displayed disrespectful behavior, but as Christians, we attempted to overlook it, hoping for better treatment. However, the overall unprofessionalism and disrespectful conduct from the staff make it difficult for me to recommend this establishment, especially for families. I have previously visited this business, but after this experience, I do not plan to return.

My mom wanted a haircut and was given the poorest experience ever. My mom has curly hair and a knot in the back that needed detangling. Mei took one look and said my mom needed to cut/brush her own hair. When I was trying to clarify and ask if Mei could detangle, she said “you gonna help me?” To me. She then pulled my moms hair and then told me “here you want to help take one side I take the other”. I’m not doing your job, Mei. I don’t know what the hell was wrong with her but she upset my mom and when we said we don’t want her service, she literally stormed away to the back. Only reason my review didn’t have 1 star was because of wonderful Fanny. She took the time to listen to my mom and was able to detangle the knot in less than 5 minutes and give her a nice haircut. Mei is horrible and when we heard she’s the manager we were horrified. My mom has always liked coming here and this was her first bad experience. We do not recommend going here for Mei. But for the other stylists yes.

This place is great for haircuts I have been coming here for about 6 years now - friendly staff, professional stylists and Every time I walk through the door there’s a friendly welcome. I love having my hair done at this location- I would recommend everyone to do your hair but I like mei, fanny and Rosina Garcia :-)
