I sat down with Laura here after scheduling the appointment online. The appointment wa supposed to be for an hour. She spent 45 minutes of the appointment trying to figure out how to print my documents. Apparently their printers only allow printing of 7 pages at a time. She should have been prepared *before* my meeting with 1) all pages printed, and 2) all my documents reviewed and ready to go. Neither of these things happened.To make things worse, Laura apologized for the issues and said she would make things right and review my documents over the weekend and call me back as a follow up. This never happened either.Luckily, I was prepared with a backup plan ahead of tax submission day. But what if I wasn’t prepared? I would have been left stranded with penalties to pay by not filing on time. Laura, along with H&R Block, gets one star for this.

Took time off work to get some professional help with my taxes. Made an appointment at this location. Arrived less than five minutes after they opened. When I arrived, they took another person back. They either prioritized a walk in over me or double booked.

I usually do not write reviews, but we are disappointed in Concetta's failure to disclose additional fees added during our tax preparation session. She was patient and had a nice demeanor. However, not disclosing additional fees (e.g. additional form fees, refund transfer fees) until the final bill is deceptive and caught us off guard. We would have much appreciated it if she just told us the additional fees as we were completing the paperwork process and not until the final bill was generated. And when we brought this up, her response was "well, you didn't ask." An honest business should inform customers what additional fees are being tacked on for services. For future customers, our total tax preparer fee came up to $449, breakdown:$90 to file 1099-B form$25 to file 1099 dividend form$25 to file cumulative interest income$140 for students or retired filers$65 to file NJ state return$65 to file NY state return$39 for federal refund transfer fee.
