I can’t even put into words how bad it was, I didn’t even think something like that would be remotely possible. I reached out to Rosaspina this year, explained what happened with the last service and asked if they could deliver but send me a photo first. “I visited PlantShed with Englewood Florist Inc. yesterday and was blown away by the experience. First, the coffee: I ordered a flat white, which is usually a tricky order as it often turns out too milky or frothy. However, this one was absolutely perfect! Smooth and balanced, just as it should be. I also tried the iced matcha latte, which was amazing—if you’re craving a good matcha latte, do yourself a favor and get one here.
The vibe of the place was everything we wanted—peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect spot to get some work done, read a book, and even journal a bit. The barista was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
Beyond coffee, the shop itself is a delight. They sell beautiful flowers and plants, as well as other gift-worthy items that are perfect for treating yourself or a loved one. All in all, it was a Sunday well spent at this hidden gem. Highly recommend!”

She even sourced them from two places, including Holland, to make sure they arrived on time, as they were out of season in New Jersey. She and her team also set up everything for our ceremony, including beautiful floating candles. I am forever grateful for their creativity and passion. Bartlett's has been—and will continue to be—our florist for all special occasions!”

“I submitted an online order after office hours with a last minute request to have an arrangement delivered to a funeral the very next morning by 10am. I was unaware they opened only 30 minutes prior to when I asked for the flowers to be delivered by. Amazingly they were able to put it together and get it delivered on time! I also had the wrong recipient on the order (it was supposed to be the name of the deceased, not a family member), but they were able to work it out with the funeral home. I wanted something elegant and was high on the table so it did not block people talking across the table. My friend loved Callalily's. What John Chugranis arranged was beautiful. It was elegant - substantial - pretty and made the table and the room look fabulous. The long vase was perfect and the flowers in with the other branches were just right. I explained what I wanted. John made some great suggestions and knew what I wanted. He said "trust me, I know what you want." And he delivered more than what I could have imagined. We got so many compliments on the beautiful flower arrangements. I would use John and Broderick's flowers for every occasion I have. They have a very happy and satisfied customer!!!”

“There's no question the artistry and love that Philip Dicristina displays in every piece of floral work he creates for his customers. No cheater's tape like most florist do these days. No cheap flowers that die in two days. Most of the arrangements my husband and I have purchased from here last for weeks! We even used him for our wedding, which has spectacularly put together centerpieces that were the talk of the town with our guests for months. It's so sad to know that his business is coming to a close. Not because of lack of business nor was his business suffering but due to personal health. My heart is broken for this very amazing and talented floral designer. His Cartier experience and high-end taste and quality of work is something I would follow him to the end of the earth for!!! I will support Phil until the day he shuts the doors. I only ask that whoever is buying this floral shop next honors the legacy that Philip Dicristina and previous generations planted for decades here. We love you, Phil! Sad to see you sell the store.”

“I was visiting New York for work (from the UK) last month and found 'Flowers on Essex' from a quick Google search and saw great reviews so thought I'd give them a go.
I bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a thank you for one of my organisation's volunteers. Bill and his team are so helpful and friendly. I was made to feel very welcome and had a lovely chat with Bill and team.
It's worth walking down 139-West 28th Street just to see all the beautiful flower shops. There used to be 45 wholesalers in NYC Flower Market - now there are just 8 (hotels keep buying up property in this area). So important we keep supporting these beautiful and unique flower shops!!! Do pay them a visit.
I really hope to go back when I'm in NYC again.
