Made in USA goods, very nice store from all stores I saw in the town it is the BEST! I think everyone can find something to buy there to remember the visit in Frenchtown which I cannot say I liked so much. Hard to find parking and lots of people and very small.

Birthday celebration with family. My wife insisted on returning based on a pleasant experience on our previous two visits. Since it was a somewhat large group, we asked to sit in the rear of the restaurant. Service attentive, food a delight, and cocktails on the mark. Head chief came out, introduced himself and inquired whether we were satisfied. Very nice touch. And to top it off, since it was a BD celebration, they brought out complementary deserts. Wow! If not aware, parking lot is in the rear. Afterwards stroll along the main Street towards the river.

By odd, I mean the service. Friendly, attentive but way too low key. (I felt like the kitchen staff was manning the restaurant.) Not outgoing or friendly like you would expect - acceptable. The food was okay. I got a HUGE filet mignon. I asked for as rare as possible but there wasn’t even a sear that I could see on it. I like steak tartare and beef carpaccio but I’ve never had a filet this rare in NJ. Maybe PA - they’re rebellious on that side of the river. And it was huge! Like a 6 inch tenderloin. I took half home and will remove the peppercorn sauce and sear for later. Just odd. My companion had a burger. Also, ultra-rare. I’ll go back for another try the next time I’m in Frenchtown. It could have been an off day.

The innkeeper could do wonders to this historic property with a few rather minor adjustments. The front door with a prominent sign, "Entrance" was locked, with no indication the door to the right is actually the entrance to the front desk lobby. My room was clean and comfortable for two nights. Housekeeping did a fine job. The downside was the room was dark, with just two low watt bedside lamps. Even if they aren't serving breakfast, coffee and tea should be available, if only in the lobby. Most concerning, and what left a sour taste in my mouth was the female bartender in the "Rathskeller." I don't appreciate hearing the f-bomb, and she used it freely. The innkeeper could also get out the paint and pick up a brush.

First time here. We stopped in for lunch and a drink. The bartender was so friendly. She’s lovely and makes a great drink! You must try the Figgy Pom Martini!

Was really looking forward to meeting with friends and eating a good lunch. Sadly, the food was lacking. Butter chicken had a watery sauce and dried up rice, obviously reheated. Ordered lentil pasta special - was brought regular pasta which as a gluten intolerant was not ok and also served with ground beef sauce - I don’t eat beef. Ordered coffee press, it was stone cold. Asked for a hot press replacement, coffee was bitter and disgusting. We sat outside as the rooms were dark and gloomy. Would not recommend.

This precious neighborhood gem is a great place to eat. We had a choice to eat on the front porch, backyard seating with umbrellas, cozy bar seating, or a relaxed, lovely dining room. We chose to seat at the bar. I scanned the extensive menu which is very creative with new ideas for lunch and dinner- and realized I would order anything on the menu and enjoy it! That is usually not the case, but everything sounded so delicious. We started with the Mediterranean Plate of hummus, feta and artichoke dip, and baba ganoush app to share, as well as the tuna tartare with a side salad- with the best sesame-soy dressing by the way! I had the duck confit roll up which was devine that had a phenomenal peking duck sauce, and my husband had the Argentinian Milanese chicken with shallots and capers. I love sauces- they always enhance a dish, so although the chicken was incredibly tender and delicious, perhaps a light sauce to go with the chicken would enhance the flavor even more. And if that is my only suggestion for this place, I would say it is worth a 6 star review! The owner Pete is passionate about his restaurant and hotel, and it shows. He is a hands-on owner, doing everything that needs to be done to give seamless service. This precious hotel and restaurant is worth trying out for sure. Bravo to this "little engine that could" that survived Covid, hung in there, and are there now for us all to enjoy.

I was traveling to a wedding in Doylestown, PA yesterday and found myself with a couple of hours spare time. I happened upon this establishment on the way and decided to spend the warm afternoon sipping on a cold beer, The whole place is like stepping back in time, the bar so cozy and delightfully appointed in hand carved wood. Bartenders friendly and professional...helpful in providing the history of the hotel and the surrounding area. Had a couple of pints of the Faith ale which was just the right temperature and delicious. After such a nice experience, I am planning to take my wife here for an overnite stay in September for her birthday. Can't wait to do dinner here at that time and explore the lovely, quaint Frenchtown further at that time. Good job to all at this historic property.

This was our first time eating out since the pandemic. We had a table on the porch and felt completely safe. The staff was extremely friendly and our server was very efficient. I had the chicken korbo with extra spinach instead of the rice and it was very flavorful. My husband had the fish and chips and loved them. A very pleasant dinner for our first venture out.
