ShopRite is not my go to store for shopping but if’s great for when my go to spot doesn’t have something and also for certain items of which the quality of isn’t great there, such as fruits/veggies. May I just mention all the times I do shop here my experience is always phenomenal. The associates always go above and beyond to help you when you have a question etc. you may be saying why only an 3 star review. Well simply because the process of returning some 9 volt batteries of which I didn’t need after all as I forgot I already had stocked up on them the prior week, did not go well at all and to make matters worse the customer service desk associate got snobby and a bit of an attitude. See the purchase was made with a credit card and ShopRite at least this location anyway can not process refund without the card and because Walmart (my go to place) does I didn’t think about having the card with me and didn’t so politely I stated sorry I don’t think I have the card on me and she continues to look at the receipt and tell me the last four numbers of the card. I said thank you but yeah I don’t have that card on me and ask can you do store credit and that’s where the attitude began she’s like in that tone of voice your suppose to have the card you bought the stuff with I didn’t respond just letting it go as she was processing the store credit. I mean she had an valid point but what’s wrong with being a bit nicer about it and without an attitude. For example sure thing but please just know for future references your suppose to have the card you used for the purchase. It’s not like I asked for cash refund of which I easily could have but knowing I should of brought the card and cash probably wouldn’t be doable I requested store credit and even had she not been capable of processing the return/refund I would of happily said no worries it’s my fault I will come back another time with the card. So yeah not the best experience during todays visit but hey I think ShopRite is an phenomenal place and company which is why something minor like this has already been forgiven and will not stop me from coming back!!!

One of the better Shoprites in Central Jersey, around me. Great prices and good places to get my cuts of meat. I prefer my meats to have some fat on them so that they would be juicy when cooking. Their meats are never too lean.
Their baked goods and fresh produce are quite good and they are fairly quick usually well-stocked. They also have fresh fish and deli meats departments there. However, the Asian Wok is no longer there.
Weekends are usually their busiest time but that is also when they have the best surplus of sale items. Customer service is excellent.
It should be noted, they also have a pharmacy in the back by the health and beauty aisles. Parking is never an issue and they do offer curbside pickup but l've never used their curbside pickup so I can only inform of their service.

I hate going to this store, Shoprite Freehold, except for the fact that the prices are a slight bit better then other places. And also closest to my home. And on top of this store being overcrowded and just a horrible place to shop, the parking lot there is a BIG MESS! Never go there on a rainy day like today..the parking lot is a swamp and full of potholes! The worst ever!

They sell long time expired beers and refuses to reimburse me without the receipt. I mean who keeps the receipt from the liquor store?

Family has lived in area since revolution. Long time customer of this location as well as extended and immediate family members. Grandfather worked for the builder side of the family as did many freehold local marines after Korean War. Never complained when I saw a mouse run down the food isles, when I bought expired food or even had to scale the shelves for unpacked boxes when shelves were empty. Customer Service during the day is a stark difference then in the evening who are kind. I was told to come back by customer service with receipt during the next week for the recent $5 off coupon. SPENT LUNCH HOUR TO GO AND WAS RUDELY BARKED AT AND TURNED AWAY.
