Just wanted to share and experience I had with a small business this afternoon.I went into S&L children’s designs in the freehold mall to browse outfits for my sons upcoming baptism. The gentleman at the store was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and kind. He didn’t try and pressure us to buy anything after we told him we were just browsing which was nice! All of the boys baptism outfits were beautiful and designed by him! He knew the fabric weight of each item and the fabrics they were made from which was nice since my son has very sensitive skin, I like to know what we’re putting him in. Their prices were extremely fair especially for the quality of the item. We ended up purchasing his whole outfit today because we not only loved the outfit and we loved the customer service. From now on anytime our son needs an outfit for any occasion we will be shopping at S&L!

I give a 5 stars because I always find what I want for my son at this store. I drive 45 minutes to go there every time. And I always have a smile on my face. Some places have good reviews but the product is trash. Just go there, be nice and you will find what you want.

I was a little nervous because of the reviews. The store was so busy but the owner I believe came right over and showed my daughter all of the communion dress selections and told her she should at least pick 2 to try on. She picked one right away and wanted it but her grandma and I wanted her to try on at least one more. Sure enough she was right and the one she wanted was perfect. He knew her dress size just by looking at her he knew exactly all the the accessories that she needed in seconds. It was a great experience and she looked absolutely beautiful for her communion. He is no nonsense but obviously knows what he is doing and makes the experience so stress free and easy. I thought the quality of everything was amazing. I would definitely recommend.

I wish i could give less or none at all!!!! My Goddaughter and her mother went into the store today and the manager basically said that she is a little bigger they don't have anything in her side. Money was no option in this case and he says that he wouldn't make a dress in her size. Now i have my goddaughter in tears! Body Shaming a little girl! How Dare he!!

I don't think I need to share my review just to have the owner try to justify what happened. I will let the five or six reviews I've read on here to speak for me. I would like to say just one thing. I'm 63 years old and I can HONESTLY say this is one of the Slimiest most Inconsiderate businesses and business owners I've EVER dealt with. Just read the reviews, and think twice.

Went in to see if they had anything that would work for my daughter as a flower girl in my sister's wedding. Was told I could not take pictures of individual dresses to text my sister as she lives in another state I informed them I would not be shopping there and left.

This was the weirdest shopping experience that we had ever had ?. So we went to this store to buy a dress for our daughter's birthday. As soon as we entered the store an angry, nervous tattooed guy rushed towards us. We could see in his face that how much he does not want us to be there. The first thing he said was "Don't touch anything" nervously. And I was like let's run from here?

The store clerk was very rude to me. When I entered the store they asked what I was looking for. I told them a flower girl dress. They said I couldn’t take pictures so would need to FaceTime if I wanted to show dresses. I did what they asked and FaceTimed the bride. The male sales clerk came over to me and accused me of taking pictures and videos. I explained I wasn’t and showed him my phone that I was FaceTimeing the bride. He said you need to stop. I asked if he wanted me to buy a dress here. He replied no. And I left the store. I am still shocked at how I was treated. I drove to this mall for this store and can’t believe what happened.

I have went here for all 3 of my sons. My oldest is 7 now, the middle is 3 and my youngest I went and shopped for today since his baptism is coming up.Always a great experience. I am honestly shocked to see bad reviews!

It's a shame, they have beautiful pieces but they lose so much business because the owner is disgustingly rude and arrogant!!! I read reviews and still tried to give the benefit of the doubt until the talked down and was demeaning to me and my family. He's gross. Get a new career sir.

If I could give this owner a negative star I would!!! He is horrible!!! I was actually returning to purchase a toddler suit for my Grandson. He was so upset that I was taking several screen shots of the outfits so my Daughter In law could choose it! I had every intention of making my purchase there til he berated me for that! Then he proceeded to ask how long I was going to be?? What????? I needed a response from my relative. Then when I told him he was rude and doesn't appreciate business, he said, "No I don't"!!!! WOW PEOPLE! Do yourself a favor & go to Macys! I did And they BEAT HIS PRICE BY 30%!!! No RUDE ATTITUDE either!! Zero stars!!!!!!

Dresses did not last 20 min of my girls wearing them and dancing. 4 dresses, and either had the beads falling off the front band, tears in the tulle, threads coming out. My 7 year old put hers on and within 5 min came to me that the beads in front were falling off her band making the band pull down. Very disappointed that I paid over $400 for dresses that are now garbage. Go elsewhere!!! Two of my girls dresses were way to big being they had to try them on over clothes in the store. Cheap dresses treated as ball gowns. Don’t shop here!!

Went shoe shopping with my flower girl and didn't expect to find anything. Not only did we find her shoes, but I got her the cutest rhinestone flower headband to go with her dress. Owner was super helpful and I am very happy with my purchase!
