I’ve signed up for many gyms in the past, and this is the first time I’ve consistently gotten myself to go. Planet Fitness in Freehold is exactly what I needed. The staff is incredibly helpful and they keep the gym extremely clean at all times. When it comes to the equipment that I use daily, they have multiples of each, so I rarely ever have to wait to get on one. If I do wait, it’s never more than a couple minutes. I would also like to point out an experience I had with this gym shortly after the country opened back up after Covid. I had a membership before the pandemic and they put a pause on monthly and yearly fees during that time. Once we were allowed back in, they started charging my card again. I hadn’t realized they were for awhile, and I wasn’t attending the gym during that time. Once I noticed the charges, I called the gym and was able to get on the phone with the manager at that time (I wish I could remember her name). She was understanding of the situation and very helpful. She was able to refund my payments for those months and cancel my membership at that time. Her service was the reason I chose to join Planet Fitness again when I wanted to start living a healthier lifestyle recently.

I been going to planet fitness for over a decade. I enjoy it because it has all the equipment I need and fits what I need as well.

Their trainer here is horrible. She needs to go back to school to learn the job. Because she is not very good at it! And some of these guys that work here early evening have too much time on their hands. They get paid to not do much except chit chat with the girls and their friends. They don't care about when the place is a filthy mess. Sometimes you have to stand there waiting for the coffee clutch to take a break before they help you. Some not all of the workers actually work. The others are a waste of my money.
In response to the owner: A few things were mentioned to the gym before. Just to be told yeah, yeah and then you are blown off. Good money is paid for services that you offer but the customer doesn't always get. I get life "nothing's perfect". But ?.

I am wildly disappointed. The lack of communication/conflicting information from this club is frustrating. I was not informed there was a $15 cancellation fee… for there being 3-4 people working at the front desk, one person ought to learn to inform members about the conditions of their membership. Not add that adjustments of machines were broken+the layout of this gym does not cater to its members.

I’d give 2.5 if it were an option. Staff is always pleasant but this PF could use a little TLC compared to the surrounding locations. The bathroom is usually dirty and poorly stocked, the toilets don’t flush, and every other treadmill always seems to be out of order. I only use the treadmills, but overall the equipment looks like it’s pretty outdated. Ill continue to come here purely out of convenience, but if u are near another location I’d suggest checking them out instead.

I can't be a part of a gym that is ok with me in the women's room!! It's an invasion of my personal body space as a female. It's not right and it's actually disgusting. The manager wrote me an email about how it is policy.... Well I joined a gym where men stay in the men's room and women stay in the women's room!! Especially that you can take showers and change. Men belong in the men's room.
If you are looking for a gym look somewhere else. What if someone wants to bring their teen daughter, you mean to tell me a man can be in there undressing with her? Think about that. It's disgusting. DNA doesn't change when you put a dress on....

The price is right at this place. The machines are well maintained and the staff is always friendly. Great place to pump some iron.
