Cannot recommend this camp if I tried!!! I love Kim k who ran the camp as well as all of the counselors! It is a home and a beautiful environment!!! It is truly a family. I cant wait til next year !!!!

The Freehold Y summer camp is an amazing way to spend the summer. My two kids (7,8) had a great time and this was their second summer there. The best part is that they swam twice a day. The staff was equally amazing and really got to know my kids. I really enjoyed drop off and pick up too because everyone was so upbeat. It was a great time all around! Highly recommend!

Attention to detail. Although was a group, it was a small group and felt like a one on one session. My child felt very secured and trusted her instructor. She looked forward going to class. Learned techniques that she practiced at home. Best lesson. This facility was worth the drive

This was my eldest daughter's first year at big kid camp and she absolutely loved it! Every morning she was greeted by welcoming smiles and excitement to start the day. At pick up she'd fill us in on her day and couldn't wait for the next one. Her stories and the hello high fives have made my two other ones stoked to join in the fun next summer! The field trips were also great experiences. As a parent I was super comfortable and knew what to expect as communication with Kim and Malcolm was excellent. Everyone who worked or helped make this camp what it is has done an amazing job and my family is so excited to come back next year! So much love and joy and passion. Thank you to Kim, Malcolm and the entire staff of YMCA summer camp!

Group exercise classes are excellent - Abby’s classes are amazing ❣️ so inspiring and helpful in improving form and rehabbing from injury. So much care and effort put into every class - can’t wait to go back for more. Fun and functional and geared for everyone with explanations for modifications and encouragement. And the best music - so fun ?

I have to say that I'm greatly disappointed at how things are being run at the Freehold Y, these days.
I usually get a membership for the summer months so that I can enjoy the outside pool and do laps and at the same time, enjoy the outside. Here in NJ we spend too much time cooked up indoors.
Last Wednesday, the 3rd, I looked at the schedule to see when the outside pool would be open, and saw it would be open from 3pm to 8pm. The pool club is not open during the morning hours because it's being used by the summer program.
When I got there I was able to swim laps for about 45 min. Then I was told that I had to get out because the swim club, a YMCA program, had the use of the lanes for the next hour and a half!!!
When I told them this schedule change wasn't published online, they told me it had most definitely been published. Then, I showed Glen, the manager, the Summer pools schedule, which didn't mention anything about any swim club. Nor did it mention that the laps pool would be closed for 1.5hrs. Glen then he showed me another schedule, (which he couldn't even find online). And, oh BTW, THIS IS FOR THE WHOLE MONTH OF JULY!
My point is that they should tell you ahead of time and include it into the summer outside pools schedule which shows when the pools are available to the public.
I don't have any young children at home, but I certainly wouldn't buy a summer membership which is almost unusable. It's best to take them to the park or the beach, which is usually free after 4pm.
I have severe back pain and do laps to relieve the pain. I can't just swimming for a few minutes, then go hang out for 1.5 hrs, and then go back to swim a few more minutes.
To make along story short, I right away canceled my membership!
Good luck! And read the whole website, because they HIDE these pool closures!!a Otherwise, people won't buy summer memberships!!!

Terrible pickleball.You will wait a ridiculous amount of time between games.No effort is taken by the staff to recognize and understand the situation. There is a breakdown by management to accommodate.
