Tried purchasing from this company from Amazon and ended up having to dispute the sale and change my log on info. Not sure how they haven’t been shut down. My guess is New Jersey just welcomes criminal enterprises. The only thing I can guess with the 5 star ratings on here is that most are employees of the company and one or two of these people have never actually used the product they purchased. Another possibility is that the seller accidentally sold a new, non-black/grey market item to a customer (maybe it was stolen, would be my only guess). You’d be a fool to gamble your money with this business and the only way you should ever attempt to do so would be with Amazon (who aren’t even that good)/PayPal/credit card fraud protection. Even with these you’ll be wasting your time when wrong, so save that and help out this company out of business (who really knows how many times they’ve just purchased a new, $500 llc on that front). If the deal seems too good to be true, you’re probably right.

I will try to be honest as I can, the previous reviews threw me off ALOT, very skeptical. However I believe the main problem was that people refused to do their own research!!! These are EXPENSIVE cameras, I had to save up for some months to buy mine (Nikon D810). I had search several things that I thought would be important like an International model. Which in reality is still the same camera just meant for sale outside the US. I had also called several times, EACH TIME THERE WAS NO WAITING, NO AUTOMATIC ROBOT VOICE. All the representatives were helpful all in their own regard. Ships pretty fast, however they use FedEx which I’m not a big fan of but it arrived great. Will most likely buy again, just recommend researching the item you want as I asked them about the terms other reviews were stating and they told me everything. In all honesty it seems like these guys have nothing to hide and the other reviews were people who just clicked “buy” without any research. Would recommend.

I frequently shop with 6ave on ebay, Amazon and even their website. Flawless transactions... Never an issue.

I was very reluctant to buy from 6ave due to the multiple bad reviews I've read. I called them and felt confident enough to place the order. I bought my Canon lens paying through PayPal. I found out after paying and the product having shipped, that they would require a signature. They typically ship to your registered address in PayPal. Recommendation: If your purchase will require a signature add a new address in PayPal before buying from them so you can make sure they ship to where you need it to be shipped. It's not 6ave, is PayPal who makes those rules since they are the payment gateway. I had excellent interactions with Customer Service, specially with Sara D., the supervisor who helped me resolved my shipping issues.

6th Avenue Electronics is a joke. I just got done filing an FTC Complaint as well as a complaint with the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. I also plan on filling a small claims suit this week as well. Why? Because this place sells gray market (almost as bad as a knock off) gear. I bought a Canon R5 through their Amazon store (over $4,000). At that time, I didn't know gray market was a thing and figured Amazon would look out for companies like this. I ended up needing service so I jumped on the Canon website to register it and it failed, because it had a fake serial #. Canon refuses to service the camera (which is only about 6 mo old) and advised me of its status. Obviously this place is scamming a lot of people, just look at their reviews. Don't buy from here and write Amazon (you can get a hold of them on Facebook easy or Twitter) and tell them they need to ban gray market retailers like Six Avenue Electronics.

I called the company to double check that they were selling me a Brand New Lens for my Canon, and they sounded convincing enough. The lens has black spots on the glass, either mold or some other defect. Luckily purchased through Walmart so I can make the return. Company is a total scam.

Stay away from this seller!!! They are scammers! They sent me a damaged used camera instead of sealed new one. The return process took maximum possible time, so they were not interested to fix their failure. The communication was slow. And finally they deducted 30% of the refund!!! About $775. I guess the number of good reviews they have is just a fake or scam. Don’t make mistake like I did.

Bought a canon DSLR from them off of Amazon, and the listing clearly stated it was the NTSC version (U.S.) but what I received was the PAL version (European) which has different frame rates for filming and is unusable for video in the U.S. This company is incredibly sketchy and they deleted my review off of Amazon which is scary. DONT BUY FROM THEM!

Bought a Canon R5 off this site before reading into the reviews. It took about 5 days for it to arrive and it came brand new with everything in the box. I got extremely worried when i started reading into the reviews a few days before it arrived but in the end I'm glad I chose this company because it saved me 300$ off compared to other sites. I would highly advise using this company as a last resort because of how many issues other people have faced but personally I am extremely happy with my product.

What a lot of people doesn't know is 6th Ave Electronics sells tens of thousands of items PER MONTH, especially on eBay, so when they have only 37 reviews and is mostly negative, you should take that with a grain of salt, like most businesses, when everything goes right, consumer will never post a postive review, consumer only post negative reviews.I recently purchased a Black Leica M11 from 6th Ave electronics, they are the only one in the tri-state that has it in stock on their website (although I didn't know that for sure during the checkout), the purchase was text book smooth, I received the item in 2 days, it has the Leica Seal fully intact, the other box is in perfect condition, so is a factory fresh item. They didn't try to do a bait and switch like Abe Camera in Maine as experience in the past, they didn't call me to verify the purchase as it was a high price item.In Summary, don't believe the 2.2 rating or the negative review they had received, you can expect 99.9% that your purchase is exactly what it should be.Thank you 6th Ave Electronics for an easy transaction and you save me 10% ove the price of B and H.

I purchased a MacBook for my new job and then they send me an email (after they already charged my card) that they need pictures of my drivers license, credit card, and a utility bill to prevent “fraud”. Fraud? Sounds like the only fraud happening here is from this company. Never seen any policy like that before. If I wasn’t on a time crunch for this hard to find laptop I’d never take a risk with this no-name company and I won’t consider them after this. I can only pray at this point my information isn’t sold and that I actually receive my product. There are too many more reputable and reliable companies than these shmucks to be dealing with this- avoid this company.

Terrible customer service, does not stand behind their products, does not help customers resolve issues, gladly acknowledge they can't help you.Purchased a new Canon EOS R6 and one of the dual slots did not work. As it had less than 100 actuations, I was surprised that this was an issue. I've used Canon products for over a decade and I know how equipment should work. Called "Riley" (if that's even her real name) and she said that they don't have warranty and that Canon has coverage. So I contacted Canon and they got me setup for repair, but when they got the camera body, they said that it was not covered for warranty. I called back to 6Ave and then somehow now, I have in-house warranty and they could fix it between 6-8 weeks; that's two months of not having a $2K camera body! I requested if they can just pay the $300 labor fee Canon was quoting me, but they declined.Overall, I'm not surprised after experiencing this. Just look at all their negative reviews through the years. Do not buy their products as they may be gray market and not covered under warranty (mine was not covered under Canon's warranty). Sure, you may save $200-$300 compared to other sites, it's more headache than anything. Stay away.

DON"T BUY FROM THEM - I ordered a 9000 series thermostat, and when I opened the box that looks like it has been around, the control board was used and defective. I did not order a used thermostat, and this was obviously used. The "C" and "R" tabs were broke.

I ordered a very expensive Canon camera from their website. The camera came on time, and was exactly as described. Very happy with this purchase.

Ordered a top of the line camera lens for over 2k and it was defective. The company refused to do an exchange and claimed they don’t have it in stock even though I could see the exact product for sale on both their website and their amazon site. I received not help until calling and raising frustrations. To which I then found that they still refuse to send a replacement until this one is sent back. I will not have this lens for the next shoot that I bought it for in the first place.I don’t recommend this company.
