I shop here every now and then and I almost always see the one nasty cashier. I get retail sucks and you deal with horrible customers daily but this cashier is just something else. I worked in retail for years and still work customer service but I can’t imagine speaking to people they way she does. I’ve seen a few customers try to joke around with her and she always takes it the wrong way and is incredibly cold and rude to them in return. Really off putting and uncomfortable as a customer.

I am the type of person who always trys to focus on the positive aspects of businesses and the employees. However, at times it is necessary to bring light to corporations who are taking advantage of people by hiring people who are in need of employment and then not giving them fair pay, treated with respect by management. Management always makes excuses for why something went wrong. But if an employee did that they would reprimanded or let go. This stems from corporate hiring managers with no degrees and working them like slaves. They hire managers who have no idea how to manage people in a a way they feel valued. We all love the dollar store. But, corporate has made the lives of the very people who make exist their employees not happy working for them. Corporate just replaces them with someone else hence no retention & constant revolving door. This review involves NJ, TX , PA, NYS and many others as i have traveled alot and in 2021 gave my time to help during the worker's shortage to only find corporate was the problem at least for the dollar tree. I believe in corporations valuing the people who show up. "Making people's lives better" is there motto. It starts with making your employees happy by giving them managers who are educated and value their store employees. This goes for corporate as well. My hope is dollar tree actually acknowledges what they already know they are doing wrong and live up to their mission and value statements because as of now they are meaningless words to the very people who make tgeir stores possible. The EMPLOYEES.

A smaller Dollar Tree, it is a little bit limited. It is hit-or-miss. Clean and organized usually. Seems to run on very limited staff. Long lines on weekends. Best to go during week days. Never helpful, so go with eyes open to find what you need.

Super horribly stocked and nothing is where it's supposed to be. I didn't find many plastic cutlery for a party in the party section OR the section for plastic/paper plates and utensils. I found it next to some soap. And party bags? Not in the party bag section. But when I decided I didn't need a party bag as I was paying, I put it aside (which I know I shouldn't have) the lady I assume was the "manager" (because she immediately ran to the office so I couldn't talk to her as I paid) gave me some attitude about placing it there, to which I left line where I was paying with a line behind me to put it back where I had found it, next to a section filled with garden gnomes. When I got back to pay, the manager was making snide comments to the cashier that I could partially hear about me. So since she was okay with that, I'm okay with posting this review about her. The cashier was a sweetie, which is why this review gets a one star aside from not being able to give no stars. SHE should be a manager, not the nasty lady who gave my some attitude about one misplaced party bag in a store that is completely disorganized. I admit I actually wasn't going to comment on it because I know places everywhere are struggling right now and we're all tired (I myself have worked 72 hours in 12 hour shifts this week due to understaffing so I get it). HOWEVER, the attitude for such an awfully messy and unstocked store over one bag that wasn't even in the right place when I found it, I have no patience for that so called "manager".To the cashier, thank you for treating me sweetly despite what that lady had said about me. You have great customer service and I hope you do well.
