“If you want me to snap, mention a chain drug store and I'm likely to go postal remembering all those front-line encounters (mostly at CVS) with deranged gatekeepers who whipsawed me between lines and could never could quite help me navigate their idiotic, Rube Goldberg notions of customer service and crowd control.I recently had quite a different experience at Walgreens where I happened to stop in for a flu shot with no appointment. It wasn't particularly busy but the encounter was crisp with paperwork exchanged and the jab administered in less than ten minutes - and, wonder of wonders - no upsell for COVID, Shingles, pneumonia, toe fungus or the heartbreak of psoriasis. I'll save those medical ministrations for my next Bachelor weekend.Thanks Walgreens. Five stars for not being CVS.”
“Admittedly, I have not been inside the store itself, though there are times when Walgreens does have certain prescriptions in-stock that other pharmacies in the area do not. Any time I've used the drive-thru pharmacy, I have been treated with courtesy and received what I needed.”
