Beautiful library. Friendly staff at the front desk. Great collection and constantly updated. Also, some of the people who have left negative reviews have hardly set foot in the library, if at all. Go there yourself and make up your own mind. And don't believe all of the garbage you read! Highly recommend! ???

They always have the best new books are helpful and knowledgeable. Beautiful building and setting. Comfy chairs to read a magazine upstairs. Inspiring children's selection. Behind library is a 3/4 of a mile flat sunny walkway that is a pleasure to stroll and that leads to the memorial garden and pond for those that perished in 9/11. Nice to visit. Much to see and lots to learn.

Franklin Lakes Free Public Library has such a serene atmosphere. Before you even enter the building, one can't help but be drawn to the beautiful statues of children reading. The little girl reading a book while her pup looks to her with a curious expression on his face is magical!Inside the library there's a lot to explore and a book sale at ten cents a book! That's priceless when you think about how wonderful a good book can be.This was my first time visiting the Franklin Lakes Public library. I was there for a free concert of 60' and 70's rock music performed by The Kootz, a well known New Jersey band that always brings the fun! Glenn 'Kootz ' Taylor did a wonderful job of sharing some musical history with the happy audience. It was better than story time because it was more than one story in so many great songs! The staff were lovely, very friendly people and I'd like to thank them for welcoming me to their beautiful library. I have to go back to explore, it's so big I didn't get many pictures but I had a terrific time with people who all had happy faces and tapping feat! It was wonderful! You don't have to live in Franklin Lakes to visit, it's important to support all our local libraries, there's just no other place like them in the real world..Thanks again to all the kind folks at the Franklin Lakes Free Public Library. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great library. Easy to request books from other libraries when they’re not in stock at this library. Helpful personnel.

I have gone to the library with my 7 year old daughter multiple times. She is a book worm and the staff has the library well organized and they always take time to help her. Thank you Franklin Lakes library staff for helping foster her love for books and reading!

The absolute rudest and worst front desk staff and management I have ever seen . The library itself is very nice - but the " ladies " who work in front have horrible attitudes and have about zero service skills . Hard to believe the town lets it continue when so many people complain about it

Beautiful, quiet and clean. Have loved our library over the decade we’ve lived here. The children’s programs were absolutely wonderful when my son was an infant and toddler. Now we just enjoy borrowing books for school or pleasure.

Shame on you. No public apology, no statement. I could only imagine the smug, pretentious look on that staff members face

I have been going to this library for years. I am surprised by the comments but honestly I have always loved it here. Feels like second home. They hold great programs for kids and adults especially awesome prizes for summer reading programs. Certain staff could be friendlier at times, but the ones that are super nice (which are most of them), love their job and super willing to help. Some people just have a bad day is all. As a women being Hispanic I have never faced prejudice comments and feel equally treated. There are times I have bonded with certain staff and they let me use the study rooms for longer hours. Honestly my family loves it, they have up to date books and movies and always changing the layout to display themes each month.
