The Sussex County Fairgrounds is the "Official" home of the New Jersey State Fair/Sussex County Farm & Horse Show, which is a 9 day event that showcases family fun, entertainment, agriculture, food, carnival and most importantly education. The fairgrounds serves as a premiere venue for a wide variety of year-round, cultural, farm-related, athletic, and entertainment events for over 40 years. The large, well-maintained, park-like fields have been home to many cultural festivals including Crawfish Fest, Rock, Ribs & Ridges, Peter’s Valley Craft Fair, Dog Shows, Champion of the Grill, Sussex County Horse Shows, and the Farmers’ Market.
