I used to love staying at The Modern. While the price was high, the service and experience were exceptional. Unfortunately, things have changed. The personal touch and kindness that set The Modern apart have been replaced by a corporate approach. (I still love the concierge, mailroom, cleaning, and repair staff—they are wonderful.) Interactions with the office staff lack warmth. Recently, I received a violation sticker on my car for a temporary license plate. Lawyer fees were charged due to a sensitive neighbor. Moreover, there was a sudden $500 rent increase overnight for long-term residents. This change has been unsettling. (with no leniency. )While I might sound like an angry resident, this sentiment is shared by friends who have lived here for over five years. I am not saying this to bring the community down but to express my sadness over the changes in a place I once loved. I will consider leaving once my next lease term is over if things do not improve.

I am incredibly pleased with the valet parking service provided by Paragon Parking at the Modern. Their staffs are consistently professional, especially James, who is always extremely helpful and friendly. He goes above and beyond to ensure that my parking experience is smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend Paragon Parking to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient valet service.

We have been long term residents of both towers in The Modern, NJ. After almost 9 years we are moving into a new home. We will miss ALL the staff who have been so kind and caring to us all these years. The building manager, Barbara Sullivan has been especially kind and patient to us and really, all the residents of the building. She was always available with any concern we had. Living in a large building like The Modern will always have its share of issues, but everything was always addressed respectfully and politely. The apartments are nicely appointed and actually very quiet for an area that is very busy. I recommend living here.

Wow!! It’s now been 8 years living here and an incredible experience. It has the best price/value equation on the NJ Gold Coast hands down! Spectacular upkeep. Incredible amenities and a super responsive team namely Barbara, Karen, Zeus, Shawn, Michele, Francisco, Ruben, Elizabeth, etc. As a former executive of various high end fashion labels, I have a very high expectation and the Modern team/product continually delivers! And a spectacular view!!

Scheduled an appointment with the customer service number located on the website. Scheduled an appointment for 2pm today, arrived with my newborn and my wife to look at 2 properties since we were looking at moving. We arrived and immediately were told that the units weren’t available, and that time wasn’t even scheduled for that day. Was told it was scheduled for a week later. Confused i showcased my email confirmation and notes from the call showcasing the notes with the specifications from the units, because i was looked at as a liar basically. Called and spoke to the only leasing agent whose name i forgot but I believe he doesn’t have the qualifications to work there. Basically called me a liar due to customer service misinforming me about unit availability, told me “do I know I’m calling a very prestigious rental complex and it’s expensive”. That line alone threw me off because I could buy the entire building if I really felt like it. Sounded like an entitled Caucasian who was mad that a person of color can afford the property he wishes he made enough commissions to let him stay. Just downright nasty and all i wanted was to view some units at the property. I don’t recommend anyone to stay at this property, if they are selective on who gets to live at the properties. I didn’t see much people of color anyway, so i guess that’s a sure sign. I was shown the units anyway by a Hispanic woman with glasses, who was told that she isn’t supposed to be showing us units. But she shown us a unit anyway but rushed us through the process so we barely got to see the place. They have a horrible process to look at units, i believe they are very big headed. Meaning they are feeling themselves too much because of the “property”

My partner and I have been on the hunt for a new home in NJ, and we recently took a tour of the Modern 100 with Anthony. Our experience touring with Anthony was very pleasant as he provided a lot of great insight into the apartments and amenities. We never felt rushed throughout our entire tour as he took his time to answer all of our questions regarding the property, and gave us a stress free experience from start to finish. Overall, our experience touring with Anthony was both very informative and memorable and we recommend touring this building to anyone looking for an amazing place to live!

Waking up to such mesmerizing panoramas each day is an absolute delight and adds an unparalleled charm to the living experience.
However, it's not just the aesthetics that make The Modern exceptional; it's the unparalleled level of service provided by the management and staff that I have became close with since moving in (as tenants having amazing management is VERY important). Barbara, Karen, and the entire leasing team, including Leroy and Anthony, epitomize professionalism and dedication. Their commitment to ensuring residents' needs are not only met but exceeded is truly commendable. Whether it's addressing safety concerns or enhancing comfort, they go above and beyond to ensure residents feel valued and cared for.
Moreover, the range of services offered at The Modern is second to none. From maintenance to concierge assistance, every aspect is meticulously catered to, ensuring a seamless and stress-free living experience. The attention to detail and promptness in addressing any issues further elevate the standard of living here.
In essence, living at The Modern is an experience unlike any other. It's a sanctuary where luxury meets convenience, and every resident is treated with the utmost care and respect especially from within (would recommend everyone getting to know them as they'll truly listen and SHOW that they care). As someone who has had the privilege of calling it home, I can confidently say that The Modern has set a new benchmark for upscale living. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything else, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a premium living environment.
