By far the worst experience I ever had living in a building. The doorman is great and that's where it stops . Lived here 3 years , rude management , Bums sleeping in staircases (I have pictures to prove), A homeless woman lived in there "DEMO" apartment for 2 weeks, she only got caught because she knocked on the neighbors door asking for WEED.. I can't make this up I swear. VERY UNSAFE. The apartments are always cold in the winter , and extremely hot in the summer. The gym a/c doesn't work in the summer, and the gym heat doesn't work in the winter. .Your car is not safe, people try to open the car doors at night , and vandalized my neighbors car smh.The whole building is filled with sketchy people there is for sure no background check for this building", DONT LET THAT go over your head. Roaches , yes roaches in a luxury building, so bad people had to switch apartments . Move anywhere but here...... Then they never gave back my security deposit, I hit them 2 months later after talking to them in person and there management promising to send a check that was never sent. Now 6 months later they start lying about having to fix floors 6 months later. IF THEY DARE RESPOND TO THIS REVIEW , I will provide photo proof of everything .

My family & I have been residents of Hudson Lights for 4 years now so we've seen at least 3 management companies come & go.
Though I see a lot of complaints around our current management...my personal experience with them have been generally positive. I can see why older tenants may have left negative reviews as the new management moved in. They were trying to create structure within the building. No one likes change and I think the amount of new rules that were set in place as the new management moved in rubbed people the wrong way. Prior to them, we were essentially relying on each tenant to behave, be courteous of each other & respect the property.
The new management moved in as the building was breaking apart... They've done a lot in the past year as elevators are working now and garage key fobs actually stopped breaking! I appreciate the renovation done on the hallway and the work they've done to the lobby. They seem to be doing continuous updates to keep the building feel new & premium.
Jima's been very responsive for me personally and has helped address several concerns I've had so I only have great things to say about her.
We'll be moving out now as the current space is getting a little too tight but wanted to voice the amazing work that I personally felt the new management has done to give them a break haha.

This has been my view for the past month and a half. There's no signs of the building working on the pool. They took the cover off and now there's garbage and debris just rolling around. Keep in mind these units go for almost $4K a month for a 1 bedroom. Renter Beware!!! Read the reviews!!!

If you move in this building, you will inhale marijuana EVERYDAY, no matter in hallways or in your OWN APARTMENT. Your neighbors smoke goes in to your apartment through the ventilation system.

Doorman and other staff are friendly,but the management department is terrible. When you meet problems they never try to solve just said everything about them are good and clear. And don’t want to explain base on your situation, only repeat useless information. I don't know where their arrogance comes from. Don’t waste your money on here. Hope they deserve the salary they received.

NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY! This rating should be a negative star!!!!!! SHAME ON THE PROPERTY MANAGER OF HUDSON LIGHTS!!!! Elevators are constantly not working, Key Fobs for building safety is a FAIL, SQUATTER living in a vacant unit in which the leasing office / property manager did not even send an email to tell residents to lock your doors….the squatter could have been a serial killer and residents don’t even get a safety warning? terrible communication from management - if u are lucky enough to have a conversation with her that u won’t even be taken into an office, just have an important conversation with her in the community leasing lobby! Property manager very unwilling for any assistance or help with any issues, maintenance takes forever….. the only value to living in this building is the location! But there are many developing cities in NJ u are better off finding a different one than Hudson Lights! You will for sure be very unhappy! This management office taken over October 2022 is the worst! They all need more training including the property manager who is never available!! Terrible record keeping, terrible communication, just not a place u want to be living, maybe if this was my office building I wouldn’t mind the neglect, but for where I live and pay top dollar rent - I wish I would have gone to The Modern!!!!!! Don’t waste ur time or Money on Hudson Lights! Oh and these are just a few issues….so many more but not enough time to list! Take my advice and move somewhere else- not renewing my lease and definitely not referring anyone here until management is changed! Terrible terrible living in Hudson Lights!
