The hair stylist did a terrible job cutting my hair. I showed her a photo of hair with layers, but she proceeded to cut my hair straight...most stylists taper my hair as I have puffy hair. I've rarely had a stylist give me blunt straight cut; I think a good stylist knows this. I had to ask her to cut layers towards the end when it became clear that she wasn't going to actually do it. She also did not ask me which hair parting I preferred (normally hair stylists ask me). Just assumed it was left even though I prefer center part. Another complaint I have is the laziness with which she blew dry my hair. She made a comment saying I should get straight hair perm...did I ask? It's not an excuse to do a crap job at blowdrying your client's hair. Overall, I don't recommend this place. I'm surprised that they have over 4 stars on here. Everytime I look at my haircut in the mirror, I get so mad...ugh now I need to go to another stylist to fix this poor haircut.

Would not recommend for thick curly hair. Hair dresser completely chopped 3/4 of my hair off when all I wanted was a slight hair thinning cut

A total scam ! I do not like how she did my perm.. I asked her I wanted my hair short and I showed her a pic of how I wanted my perm.. when I called they told me 120$ when I got there in person they told me 200$… and she barely cut my hair , I wanted my hair shorter and it still long and she lied and said if I cut it shorter it will be too short with the perm .. and guess what my hair still long with the perm and overall terrible service! on top of that she was asking for a tip and I did not tip her ! Terrible job I do not recommend hidy anymore

Had such a great experience with Jay today! We made a same day appointment and Jay was gracious enough to take me in and take his time cutting my hair and adding layers. He really knows what he is doing and my hair feels so light and airy. Will come back again!Service: Haircut

This salon is where you need to go for hair straightening and other perm!!!!
They are the magician of chemicals-the owner couples.
I have so much hair and they are also very thick and curly… this is the only place can manage my hair and give me a beautiful silky hair… ?

After several missteps trying to find the right salon, I finally found the one! I recognize Hair Hidy as a Fort Lee staple and I finally decided to give it a try. Boy did I make the right call. Jenny and Jay took such great care of my friend and me. They are both so kind and gentle and they were very masterful in cutting, coloring, and treating our hair. I am so happy to have found professionals to whom I can trust my hair and Hair Hidy will now be my staple.

Very friendly, quick, polite and professional.I had to take my 2.5 y/o son because nobody couldn't take care of him while I was visiting the hair salon. But they welcomed him and our experience was so fun and comfortable.Also, I called them on the day I visited but they immediately accommodated me in 1 hour, which was very helpful for a busy mom!The price is reasonable. The haircut quality is great.Definitely will be back to the salon!

Jay and Jenny are power couple managing this place. Their stylists also rock as well as the ladies in charge of the wash especially one of the latter gives me a combo massage. Jay got serious skills for haircuts and Heejin for balayage. I've been coming here for maybe 5 years now and I would say it's one of my happy places. Protip: Never go to any place without someone recommending you. This place is stellar and the same experience goes for those I've referred to this salon.
