BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE...right after i used my credit card for gas, my credit card has been fraud and charged + $600 in CA...luckily the bank reported unusual activities.

Car died out and tow service recommended this place I went in expecting to get hustled but I must admit they guys here are super honest and very well priced don’t be fooled by its look this place is a diamond in the ruff.

The most honest mechanic ever! I just drove in to get a second opinion on services recommended by the dealer where I've been taking my Toyota, which is about 5yrs; under 20K miles. The dealer had said I needed 4 services EACH over $200, including a new drive belt, which seemed to have suddenly aged critically since my last service 4 mos before. The owner at Ft. Lee Getty, I believe that's Effie, came to my car, popped the hood, looked and showed me why I do not need a new belt -- not needed before 60K miles! He then stated other unnecessary service recommendations dealers make. They were all on my list, like he's a psychic! But he knows the routines. I told him I would be making my next service appts at Ft. Lee Getty.

This is for Ft. Lee Getty at 1300 Palisade Ave, Ft. Lee --The most honest mechanic ever! Here's why: I've been taking my 5 yr old car with under 20K miles to the dealer for reg maint for several yrs. At my last dealer appt I was given 4 recommended services each over $200. Just 4 mos before I was told it was in excellent condition. Now I'm told even drive belt is in critical need of replacement. Uh? I decided to get another opinion at the The Fort Lee Getty on Palisade Ave, Ft. Lee. I just drove in to ask how much they would charge to check the belt, since that seemed the most critical. The owner came to my car, popped the hood, looked and said: 'You don't need a new belt.' And then he pointed to the belt to show me it had no signs of damage and needn't be replaced before 60K miles!. He even went on to state other unnecessary services dealers may recommend. He got them all right! Like a psychic! I think he just knows their routine. He asked for nothing. I will be making my next service appts at Ft. Lee Getty on Palisade Ave.

I was recommended this by the gentleman that towed my car ; I figured he knew the best mechanic since he’s constantly visiting every mechanic in Bergen county ; I was right Effie did a fantastic job ; honest mechanics are rare ; honest n extremely competent are the rarest; I am grateful; my 12 year old car is running like I just bought a new car off the lot ; I drove it for over an hour n I live 15 mins away ; it is unbelievable; like fresh off the dealers showroom ; 2010 Honda CR-V ; I’m recommending my family n friends to Effie ; price is fair and affordable ; he fixed my car in less than a day ; just in time for me to go back to work ; YOU GET 10 stars ⭐️

Effie is amazing. I always trust him with all my car repairs. Big and small. He is always honest with me and the work they do there is top quality. His pricing is always fair. There a few things I want to personally say. I just wanna state that Effie along with his entire team are absolutely amazing ! I used to go to my old mechanic who used to rip me off and wouldn't even fix my car correctly and one day a co worker of mine mentioned how he knew a really great mechanic in fort lee who would be more then fair with prices and just everything over all, and I'm thankful to this day that he introduced me to Effie and his team. They are absolutely amazing. Anything you need with your car, they can do it and he's been more then reasonable with prices and gets the job done. They do everything they can to accommodate you and its wonderful because not many mechanics are willing too. Ive been now a customer for 3 years and I've never had a problem with my car, and they help me any way they can and any work I need done to the car, they have worked on it personally and they do great work. Also to just add, but Considering I'm a woman alot of mechanics try to take advantage, but not Effie, he is a great businessman, who's kind, attentive, and gets the job done with great prices who is willing to work with you anyway he can. He will be my mechanic for life, and for anyone who is looking for a great mechanic, well this guy is it! So don't miss out and go see the best mechanic I've ever known! Highly recommended without a doubt
