Berceli did a full gut renovation of an ~1500 sq foot apt that we purchased in a coop high rise building in West New York NJ.In summary, the entire process was a wonderful experience during which Berceli created a home that far surpassed all our imaginations.They created the architecture, sourced the materials, planned the work, obtained and managed the contractors, and handled all permits and inspections. We need a whole docuseries to describe how fantastic the experience and the results were.The design was creative, exquisite, with lots of unexpected details, the materials selected were unconventional and timeless, the execution was efficient (we know we went to the unit which is upstairs from our present residence, every couple of days to check progress) and the resulting outcome was impeccable and stunning and timeless. We ended up with a Pinterest worthy apartment and good friends for life (we now consider Joseph and Priscilla friends in our heads).It was a complex design because our main goal, our main ask was to maximize the space and get as much storage as possible while creating modern yet an unexpected look. The unit is also in a coop building with lots of restrictions and the period was right after covid restrictions were lifted but during the 2022 import and shipment delay crisis.We dealt mostly with Joseph Sadfie and Pricilla through this process and they were a joy. They were very creative - our main driver for the renovation was to maximize our storage, we wanted a “home” in the home for every item. They designed the unit such that the space was maximized, no square footage was wasted, we got enormous amounts of storage but somehow they found a way to make the apartment still feel very spacious. We now have the best layout in the entire building of over 400 units. Every other renovation in the building basically had the same concept with respect to the layout but Bercelli thought outside the box and came up with a very unique layout.They were extremely responsive, great communication, constant status updates. They addressed all our questions and concerns right away. Joseph would respond to emails on the weekend. We got instant updates to the floor plan and renderings as soon as we requested any design changes and in some cases when material had to be changed, they negotiated with the vendors to ensure we didn’t incur too much cost/penalty.They were extremely prepared and had a very effective risk management plan. They anticipated obstacles and planned for them, for instance this project was done in the middle of the export crisis of ‘22, they had us select alternative materials for items they thought had high probability of experiencing shipping delays. They advised on details that may possibly violate typical building regulations. This saved time in the long run.We had absolutely zero stress through this process, our unit is in a coop building with tons of rules and we didn’t once have to worry about anything, they handled all communications with the building management.We started the process by sending them inspiration pictures and discussing our vision. Joseph came right away to meet with us in person and to take a look at the unit, we knew upon that first meeting that this would be a good partnership, he has great energy and so much subject matter expertise, that we felt confident his firm would be a great choice. We had frequent visits to their showroom during which they showed us materials, videos. They scheduled the visits at our convenience. It really felt like we were in one of those television home design shows.We want to mention one of the contractors who we met a few times when we went during working hours to check out the unit - Fredo - Fredo was tireless, every time we went up there he was hard at work and you could tell he took joy in his work.We want to thank Joseph Sadfie, Priscilla Santana & the entire Berceli organization for everything. We truly love their creation. If you want a great experience and a fantastic outcome, go with Berceli.

Berceli Kitchen and Home Design is an absolute Dream to work with. On BUDGET and on TIME just seemed too good to be true, but it absolutely was the reality we experienced. Our kitchen renovation is SPECTACULAR! They were beyond professional, and in my experience, true Concierge Construction. I am a micromanager by nature and Joseph of Berceli Kitchen & Home Design was every bit the consummate professional that I had hoped he would be, giving me to confidence to let go and trust the process by which he and his team work. We live in a condo and therefore there are endless details to attend to, all of which were handled seamlessly and without issue, giving me more time to breath and relax. Every single question and concern I had was addressed in real time, holding true to his commitment of remaining in contact at all times. When Berceli promises you a team assigned to your project he means it. These men were present every single day. Wilfredo and Vano are perfectionists that are truly talented. Not only did I trust them in our home, but I genuinely felt they operated and with a standard of excellence and professionalism that I had never seen before with previous contractors. I will absolutely, without hesitation hire Berceli again for my future bathroom project. I was already planning to do so before our initial project was complete, which speaks to how happy I truly am. Kitchen and Living Room gut reno. 2nd time using Berceli. Very responsive and stayed completely on budget even though we wanted some changes halfway through the buildout. Joseph has an amazing ability to talk to you about what you want and return a proposal that clearly shows he was listening closely. But what really sold me on Berceli is after one year, we needed something replaced. Even though it was a small thing, he sent one of his guys over to replace it right away. I have never met a contractor with that level of customer service and follow through. I recommend Berceli to everyone who ever asks for a recommendation

In the summer of 2012, after a decade of living in my apartment, I decided to renovate my kitchen. I visited Berceli Kitchen and Home Design in Fort Lee and met with the owner, Joseph Safdie. He had done a number of apartments in my complex so he was familiar with the layout and the procedures of dealing with a co-op board. After he came over, I was very impressed with his vision and attention to detail (which rivals my own). Joseph interviewed me, set up a budget, helped me choose materials, made various layouts and modifications and incorporated unique features and design elements (e.g. chiseled stone in the adjacent dining room wall). He walked me through the contract signing (without rushing me), obtained co-op management approval and municipal building department permits, oversaw his workers and kept me updated throughout the process. While I had signed the contract in the beginning of September, demolition began in late October only to be interrupted by a 10 day power outage caused by Superstorm Sandy. Remarkably, his crew were still able to complete the job as scheduled in the contract and within budget. The finished product became the envy of my neighbors (one of whom subsequently hired Berceli to renovate her kitchen). I highly recommend Joseph and his crew.Services: Tile work installation

Berceli did an amazing job on my kitchen. I got what I wanted and the owner, Joseph, gave me a very good deal! He works entirely on your behalf. I definitely plan on using them to renovate my bathroom.

Berceli renovated our studio, complete gut job-- skimmed walls, floor and ceiling moldings, new kitchen, new bath, moved closet, painting, electrical and plumbing. Their price was fair. They were punctual with all appointments and deadlines. Design team was excellent. They worked with me and together we came up with a great layout and great cabinets to turn a tiny kitchen space into a beautiful full kitchen which I love. I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

Wow seriously what a piece of work this place is. So the owner Joseph quotes me everything before even stepping into my condo. He sent this to me via email saying 'this is ball park but this is the work that is included' We than schedule for him to view the condo in Fort Lee. After he arrives he tells me what their process is and than says 'first we need a retainer' First time he's ever mentioned this to me. Not once in his previous emails did he discuss a retainer. Right when he said that I asked 'So in order for me to even get a decent quote I need to pay you a retainer fee?' The owner Joseph then starts by saying 'right you need to pay first before I start anything including a quote and details on the remodel' I than told him to leave. So caveats. You know its going to be bad when he shows up wearing a suit. Doesn't take measurements and eye balls everything saying 'this is what it will cost' And he's the first contractor I met who drives a Lexus RX 350. Last time I checked ladders and tools don't fit too well on leather seats.
