SPEECHLESS!
I ordered the Google Pixel 9 Pro 3 weeks ago and sent in my optically and technically flawless Google Pixel 8 as a trade-in.
This was then valued at €0 and sent back to me with the reason “housing was badly damaged”.
I got the Pixel 8 back after about a week,
very badly damaged as assessed by PCS.
However, this phone left my hands immaculate.
I then checked my IMEI (serial number) and found that another cell phone had been sent back to me. The phone's serial number doesn't match the serial number on my bill.
I have clear evidence that I got a different Pixel 8 back than the one I sent in.
However, Google Support insists on taking pictures of the phone before submitting it, so my complaint is ignored.
I didn't take these pictures because it wasn't pointed out anywhere and seriously,
Who has concerns about being ripped off like this by Google or a Google partner?
I'm speechless @Google,
I was a fan for a long time, but now it's time to switch cell phones again.

Sorry but what kind of service is this from you and Google? Trade in requested, a perfect cell phone was sent and now it's supposedly defective?! Turn on Google!! Lawyer follows

Purchase of a Google pixel 9 pro and exchange of a Google pixel 6 pro. Following the analysis by PCS Wireless, my old phone will be returned because there is a so-called activation lock which remained activated on my phone. So no refund or return of my old phone. I contact the Google Store who contacts their famous PCS Wireless "product expert", but neither of them can explain to me what this famous activation lock that I left on my phone consists of or even give me the operating mode to remove this lock... However, I do have an email from Google which proves that I requested the restoration of factory settings and therefore all the parameters that I was able to set up. A great promise of recovery that turns into a scam! Too bad we can't give 0 stars ;)

So I can't complain! I have already ordered several smartphones from the Google Store and have already used the trade-in option twice.
The trade in package always arrived quickly and at the same time as the new smartphone.
Transferred data to the new one, reset it to factory settings and sent the old smartphone back.
The check was carried out quickly and the agreed amount was quickly transferred back to the account.
I would use this service again if I ordered from Google.

Unfair Trade-In Assessment
I am extremely disappointed with PCS Wireless's trade-in assessment. My phone was in pristine condition, yet they quoted a significantly low price, claiming a non-functional touch screen. I have photos to prove the phone's excellent condition prior to trade-in.
Their customer service was unhelpful, stating the decision was final without providing any evidence to support their claim. This feels like a blatant attempt to undervalue my device.
I urge anyone considering PCS Wireless for trade-ins to be cautious. Their assessment process appears flawed and unfair, leaving customers feeling cheated. I will not be using their services again and would not recommend them to others.

Factory setting: The cell phone must also be removed from the Google account! Otherwise they can't value it because it can't be sold.

I had a great experience with PCS wireless, they provided $500 (AUD) for my Pixel 7 Pro 128GB as part of the Google promotion. They promptly provided the offer on the same day as receiving the phone. 10/10 for customer satisfaction.

Lots of negative reviews so I was very anxious about the trade in value I'd get after purchasing a Pixel 7 Pro. Additionally I sent the phone late according to PCS' own terms but within the timescale Google had advised in an email so was concerned how that would pan out as the estimates had gone down since.
I've just been issued a credit of £205 which is higher than the estimate I'd initially had (I'd said the phone had a cracked screen just in case, the phone itself was mint) so they've actually accurately assessed it and revised up. All in all very happy.
Doesn't excuse the other negative reviews or discredit those but definitely feels like a case of more bad experiences being shared and those who receive accurate valuations won't bother posting about them.
TL;DR exercise caution but from HUKD comments and my own experience, it does work.

I haven't received a trade in kit after more than 2 months. Selling Google products is quick, but the rest is not. Very bad
