Tried to rent a metal brake from Home Depot. They lied about the price on the phone and tried to tell me when I got there that there was no such phone call. Also wouldn't let me rent it without also renting their truck - more money - even though last time I had a 10-foot brake of this type I loaded it into my car by myself with no problem. This is the last of a long line of problems, and I mean the last. Been a customer for years and spent many $000s with them but I'll never go back there again for anything.

Home Depot does not enforce the NJ State Mandated Mask Requirement for all retail spaces, making it dangerous for the elderly and immune compromised to shop there. Today a man confronted two other men about not wearing the require mask, and an escalating confrontation developed. All retailers, especially big box stores, have an obligation to protect their customers. I found this incident very disappointing. I was happy that this man had enough sense of community concern to say something. Albeit, he had no support from the store.

Apparently they don't enforce mask rules. There must have been 10 people with masks under their noses, which is basically useless. Never returning.

I had to drop a row of trees that got ruined by the deer and ice storms. I was left with unsightly stumps. Home Depot rents stump grinders so I went to the Bridgewater location to rent one. Unfortunately the one they had was returned broken. They talked me into a small one which slipped immediately as soon as it touched the wood. Not wanting to waste time fixing their machine in order to use it, I returned it. I drove past the Bridgewater store and the Branchburg store which doesn't have a stump grinder in order to reach the Flemington Home Depot which had two of the large units. Both the man and woman running the department were friendly and helpful. I received expert instruction on how to use the machine and assistance hitching the trailer to my vehicle. The stump grinder only took a minute to get used control if the hydrolics and the tractor drive. It made short work of a dozen stumps and was almost effortless. A small weak person would have no problem operating it. I had the machine back in three hours so I was charged less than $250.00 for the half day. Thanks Flemington Home Depot for good condition tools and great service.

Ralph one of their managers is the most useless managers I’ve ever felt with don’t bother with this store. Also I was sold a none working dryer and it has been 2 weeks since I bought it so far a week and a half after it was delivered I am still waiting for them to make good on bringing me a new dryer I have been told they will call me and call me their manager took shots at me being upset and as he got me more unhappy he was refusing to do anything. If I treated my customers like this I would not have a business. Also I stated that something needs to be done Friday or they need to refund me in full the manager said he rather do that then deal with me. This is how Home Depot deals with their unhappy customers when they sell them bad none working products that are brand new.

Most awful reno experience of my life. Run screaming. I will never set foot in Home Depot again. I'd rather drive 20 miles to Lowe's.

You know people like to rash these "big box stores" and I am frequently one of these trashers. But yesterday I stopped in to by a reciprocating saw, of which I knew nothing about! Staring at the variety of saws, a very helpful store employee (wish I would found out his name) walked up to me and ask if he could help. Let me tell you something, by the time I had asked all the questions and he had answered them...I received formal education on these saws. A "tip of the hat" to this employee.

I have been to both Bridgewater and the Flemington NJ store attempting to rent an insulation blowing machine after spending $1100 on blow in insulation- my contractor has gotten a total of 3 machines, all broken requiring round trips back and forth. Home depot employees have generally been Unhelpful, uncaring and all around useless in helping me solve this problem- A clear indication that a corporate culture of negligence and uncaring exists throughout the company. Run far away from Home Depot...I am giving up my corporate credit card and will NEVER buy so much as a screw from this company again

Would not recommend buying any large appliances from Home Depot. Twice my (not inexpensive - $3k) fridge has been delivered with dents. 7 weeks later.. still not resolved. The store and online customer service has been lacking. Very little ownership and a lot of pointing the finger (at the warehouse, at the manufacturer). Have spoken with all three and they all blame each other. I bought product from Home Depot, they should have taken ownership and coordinated a resolution. If you order, don't sign for the item even if they tell you they can easily replace the damaged piece. I had no choice as I needed a fridge and otherwise would have been without for 7 weeks. Would not recommend.

I make a purchase at Home Depot and am asked if I would like to open a no interest credit card. I open the card and get my first statement with interest charge. I call customer service and am told my purchase didn't qualify for no interest. Very sneaky!

Delivery service did not properly install and left garbage in my driveway. No response to phone calls. Only buy something from this store if you can carry it out yourself

I stopped in for one item I needed but did not need any help finding it. Since the only lanes open were self-check out (which I hate) and all had lengthy lines, I asked if I could quickly check out at the only register with someone attending it, at the returns section. Upon asking, the employee said that you are not supposed to check out but that I could she guessed. I then vocalized my concerns with the heavy lines and advised her, or one of the other 2 employees chatting behind her, to tell a manager that there are no registers open on a busy Friday afternoon, which should probably be adjusted to accommodate everyone. That welcomed a laugh from the employee checking me out- I will never be returning to a place that disrespects customers to such a level.

Total fail!!' Shopped for new bathroom at 6 pm Sunday. Not the same help you get Saturday morning! Then as I'm studying the dimensions & prices of a new bathroom( with no associate assistant) I was approached by a young lady trying to sell me solar panels I told her I was not interested & kept doing my thing! She tried pressuring me like a used car salesmen,I had sour words for her . . Long story short , too little assistants too many used car salesmen.
