Recently started our daughter here and absolutely love it.My daughter has been struggling with some separation anxiety (after spending a year home with me) and the staff has been more than supportive with me as well as my daughter. The director, her teacher, assistant teachers and even other parents have been so welcoming and friendly.Such a wonderful environment and glad to call it my daughters new school. She was previously at another Goddard location- which we also loved but the family/ friend feeling from this school is incredible and unbeatable.

We had the best experience putting all 3 of our kids through this Goddard School. All of the teachers were amazing, our kids found many mentors in many of them during their time at the school. Our kids always came home with a ton of excitement and great stories about each day they spent at this school. Tricia, the Director, was an amazingly warm and friendly face each and every day. She was so helpful and attentive to any of our needs over the years. We miss Goddard!!!!

All 3 of our daughters (now ages 17, 11 and 9) attended the Goddard School in Fanwood from age 2 until it was time to go to elementary school. We cannot speak highly enough about the school, curriculum, and of course the amazing staff. We still refer to ourselves as part of the Goddard family when chatting with parents of now high school, middle school and elementary school children who were also at Goddard with our girls. We found their program to be the perfect balance of structure and creativity. The consistent daily communication (including a secure portal that shared fun photos of our kids each day!) with parents on what your child learned each day and how they were doing was fantastic. We remember fondly joining festivities with the girls for holiday singalongs, book fairs, Mother’s Day tea, Pancakes with Dad and so many more. The facility was always clean and we were greeted every time we came to drop-off or pickup with a warm welcome (by name!) and a genuine sense of excitement to see our children. The curriculum helped our children develop a love of learning and intellectual curiosity on a wide variety of topics through themes investigated each week and extra enrichment via a focus on STEAM and visitors coming to present on lizards, different forms of fitness like karate and soccer, etc. They even gave the full summer camp experience by changing up the program in a way that got our girls excited for ‘camp time’ each year too. Goddard in Fanwood was a wonderful starting place for our girls’’ academic, social and emotional development & we are grateful to continue to consider ourselves part of the Goddard family!

If you are nervous about starting daycare, then I was right there with you but joining Goddard was the best decision for my family. The staff and the teachers are amazing and I always felt at ease leaving my children in their care. They truly became like family.

Bryan H. I wanted to pass along my experience at the Fanwood NJ Goddard School. My second daughter was enrolled there after the covid-19 pandemic had lessoned. Prior to the pandemic, my oldest daughter had attended the school, so I am able to compare. My first daughter's pre-pandemic experience there was good, however my second daughter's experience was terrible. It started with a few months after enrolling her there I found out for two months they had been serving her the frozen lunch I was sending her to school with. They were no longer heating up lunches in the microwave like my first daughter. I found out from my second daughter telling me why she didn't eat her lunch "it was too cold." For two months they had been giving her frozen chicken nuggets and it was my fault (after confronting them) because we did not see the message that lunches were no longer being heated. Next, when I would pick up my daughter the teacher, or helper was coming out and saying she had a bad day today. I was clueless until after a few weeks of this she refused to go back (and I mean refused). She had lost all confidence to go anywhere or see any strangers. It was terrible. We took her to see help and we were told that she had gone through a regression, like a three-year-old going back to a one and a half year old. Confronted the school and they said it was her fault, she doesn't listen and goes around the classroom. That sounded like all three year old to us. We asked the school for her teacher to meet us and show affection to her, but she was cold to her. We felt so bad for her we took her out of the school. It took us months to bring her confidence and self esteem back. When I grew up a three year old was accepted unconditionally and supported to stand on their own. Not so at this place.

The Goddard School was our second childcare facility, and my daughter spent three years in their program. As a recent graduate, her knowledge and awareness of the world around her was so impressive - the STEAM program really worked. My daughter loved the school, the teachers, and her fellow students. She (and I) will miss The Goddard School.

We have put both our kids to Goddard School, in Fanwood NJ, because we we appealed by the curriculum and the values. It was even better than we expacted : kids learn a lot while having fun, the staff (admin, teachers) are great, hours and programs are flexible if needed.Highly recommended. Special mention to the Director of the school, Tricia, who is running the place like her own home

The Goddard School has been a nurturing and academically challenging environment for all 3 of my children. It’s everything you could want in a preschool and more. All of this wouldn’t be possible without the amazing staff and teachers who enriched our lives for the past 9 years!

The Goddard school creates an intimate environment where kids feel safe to learn and play in a very organized curriculum. There is an overwhelming support system there for babies thru Kg. Besides the all important learning, growing and playing, Goddard teaches life skills, manners and patience, which leads to confidence and achievement. At a crowded birthday party, we had a good laugh when our "Goddard kids" politely (but with excitement) raised their hands when the entertainer asked a question to a bunch of boisterous kids. The teachers are excellent and it all happens in the classroom. So if it boils down to good teachers, Goddard-Fanwood has them.

After almost 8 years at the Goddard School in Fanwood between two children, I couldnt be more happy with our experiences at the school. Every teacher we came across was better than the next, each and every year. The Goddard School prepared them for everything that they will encounter at public school, and more. When I returned to work after both of my maternity leaves and had to travel in to NYC for work, I knew that even though it was the hardest decision to make, it was the right one to leave them in the amazing care of the staff at the Goddard School. I highly recommend this school- your child will be in the most trusting, caring and nurturing environment in the area.

I'm very happy with the staff, cleanliness and the curriculum. It's a fun place for preschoolers. I believe the best way to learn is to have fun and kids always seem happy to be there, which is what it's all about.

My daughter is only 15 months and I have noticed a difference since enrolling her at Goddard. She's been there for just a month now, and she's already learning more then she would have at another school. She is saying bigger words, started walking shortly after starting school, and is experimenting with creative art projects that other schools just don't do. In addition, the communication between the teachers, administrators and parents is very open. I never feel in the dark about anything, and can confidently say my daughter is in a safe, fun learning environment.

I believe my son is safe and well cared for throughout the day; there is both an educational and a social component to the daily routine that I believe is necessary to a child's development that Goddard provides that other daycares in the area did not. In fact, we are planning on sending our youngest to Goddard as well in the coming year.

We are new to the Goddard School, but so far, we are seeing a lot of positive things! Our daughter comes home singing new songs, asks questions about days of the week and other things she is learning in school, and is happy and enthusiastic about going each morning.
