I previously have given this establishment five stars, but unfortunately, after today’s experience,I Wish I could give it zero stars. The service department, especially Waldo has been a nightmare.extremely rude and unhelpful. First I made an appointment and they told me I would have a loaner car I made an appointment A week and a half away in order to receive a loaner. Also was told that my backup camera issue would be under CPO warrantee. The issue was the backup Camera doesn't stay open in Reverse (no damage done) Clearly an electrical issue. When I arrived, I was rudely told that there is no loaner available. Fine. I have a 2020 a220
He Didn’t even check my car. The car never left the valet. and told me it was not under cpo warranty. Didn’t even care to look at the car. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. Couldn’t even tell me what would be the issue. I even asked to speak to the manger he just looked at me. NO ONE even inspected the car. It was still in the same spot I left it. I had the worst experience. I would NEVER step foot in this place again. Truly upsetting for a Mercedes company.

Scam dealership.
Took my brand new EQE (purchased sat Ray Catena) for a 30 min software upgrade. They scratched the car all over in the small appointment and then tried to hide it. When I questioned, they took the car back to repaint the scratches and this time broke the bumper giving me a $5k estimate hinting that I should put it on my insurance.
Rude staff and horrible service manager. They basically do a horrible job and try to cover it up pushing the blame on each other. I wish Ray Catena was closer to where I live, or I would have never entered this dealership.
We gave a bad review on the Mercedes Benz survey and the manager was quick to threaten us asking for a better review. That’s how these people run the business.
buy your cars and get them serviced anywhere but here.
Their driver picked up my car from my home and between my home and the dealership, crashed my bumper and the tires. And they are responding to my review stating that I did the damage. Just another cover up operation to what they did with the scrtches until I found out and questioned them.

PLEASE!!!!!Be Careful When You Go To MERCEDES OF CALDWELL for a service I had a nightmare experience,
Customer service is really Bad too .
I went there because I had a recall code , but the car was fine , so they said it’s not a recall on this car but needs a maintenance , like oil change and filters, then next day they called me saying the car has a really bad problem and it has to be fixed immediately and I can’t drive it because it’s not safe , The regular maintenance was already paid one year before ,my car was running fine ,
They charged me almost 5,000 It was 4k and something but almost 5k. I’ll find the receipt
That’s incredible how they stolle my money
My car was running fine , then they called me that my car was unable to drive , THATS NOT FARE HOW THEY DO WITH CUSTOMERS

I had my vehicle repaired at this location and I'm very pleased with the result. The staff was incredibly professional and friendly, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. They completed the service on time and Waldo kept me updated throughout, which was really appreciated. Thank you to the team at Mercedes Benz of Caldwell and a special thanks to Waldo!

This is another Mercedes dealership charging outrageous fees to get money out from customer's pocket because NJ doesn't have regulation on document fees. MB Caldwell charges $699 document fees, $199 insurance etch fee which dealership claims it's mandatory. Get your car in New York. NYS limits document fees to $175. It will take you a ton of efforts to negotiate for the $$724 difference in document fees in NJ.

My husband and I had great service via Erin for our GLS. She was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! We will return to her and the dealership for any future service needs. Even our 2nd time there was better than the first - communication and kindness were top tier.
