Ed moved us back in 1998 and once again in 2022! I cannot sing their praises loudly enough, stellar service. They packed whatever I hadn't on Friday and moved it all on Tuesday. Friendly, efficient, professional and they made a very stressful move go seamlessly. If I could give them infinite stars, I would!

I used this moving company to move from my Manhatten apartment to New Jersey. The owners of the company were lovely to deal with and the movers themselves couldn't have been better. They came right on time and were professional and so quick. I highly recommend this moving company! You're in good hands.

I don't do reviews.however, these people did not tell me about the extra two hours I would have to pay for (travel) at the time of booking. get the quote in writing have them sign it.. they basically stole $500 from me.nice enough movers, bad business.

I used this moving company last month based on my realtor’s recommendation and prior reviews. I also chose them because they could accommodate my specific move date. I was told by the guy that came and did an in person estimate that the move could take 2-3 days & that my indoor items would be moved on the first day & second day outside furniture. They quoted me one number, then when I asked for it in writing it went up $2000. I ended up paying close to an additional $2000 more over the written quote based on a bad estimate that was given & some additional packing they did. They wouldn’t tell me how much extra I would have to pay after several conversations on the moving day. I had a budget for the move & was alarmed by this. In the end they came up with a number that was high but I paid it just to get it over with. They also did not move my separate storing unit which was part of the original quote. On the day of the move, everything was packed on to trucks & when I asked about unpacking the same day they said that couldn’t happen the same day based on the amount of things I had. When I asked why they weren’t doing just the furniture inside like we discussed the owner said we don’t work like that. When I asked about my storage unit the owner said this is the first I heard of it. It was written on the quote from his company. I had to take my family unexpectedly to a hotel overnight & wait until the next day for my stuff to arrive at my new house. There was an issue with the front door & when I arrived around 7 guys were just standing around doing nothing. Not even moving stuff from the truck to bring inside once the door was open. I was paying by the hour. Lastly, they packed my deep freezer & left it overnight unplugged - told me it was ok for 72 hours, even though it was almost 100 degrees on this day. When they brought it back they never plugged it in so it sat until late evening when I checked on it. Food was thawed out & I lost several hundred dollars of food. The only good thing I can say about the move is that they didn’t break anything and they were on time.

Movers were great. Moved a full house of furniture, garage contents with no problems. Would definitely recommend. Price was good and fair.

I used Gomans to move 25 years ago when I first moved and then again 10 years ago to my next apartment. Both times they were more reasonable than all other quotes I had gotten from other moving companies. Getting ready to use them again and it's one less thing to worry about. Both times all items moved with no breakage. All employees were local to West Essex. They were friendly and patient. Did not feel rushed or as though we were on the clock with both moves. Made great time and saved money on the move.

Great crew did an excellent job moving us out of a walkup apartment quickly and carefully with pleasant attitudes and respect for our belongings - Total pros! They brought a couple extra boxes and tape and wrapped our furniture securely for storage.
Anyone who has done a Uhaul rental and then hired moving helpers - spend the money on Goman’s, you get an incredible jump in quality for the price and fewer details on your plate. It’s not that much more expensive in the end, and in my opinion 100% worth it. Many thanks to Kelly, Jack, and the rest of the crew.
