I had a fantastic experience with California Closets. I worked with Jaime as my designer. She is obviously great at what she does. She is professional, personable, and very helpful. It doesn’t feel like she’s trying to sell you on stuff like a typical salesperson. She makes you feel as if she’s designing a closet for herself with the same amount of consideration and detail. She is also very patient, going through multiple options and design drafts until you are satisfied with it and is very transparent about pricing. California Closets was also very accommodating with installation date availability. Rafael, the installer, came on time and completed the job within 4-5 hours. He cleaned up after himself as well which was appreciated. He was very professional. The closet turned out exactly as designed and we have been enjoying it ever since. We look forward to working with California Closets in the future!

Great job, beautiful product, easy installation process. Highly recommend! Elizabeth Frey did an amazing job of designing the closet to fit my needs and made great recommendations. Charlie disassembled the existing closet and painted it in half a day (I have no idea how) and Chris S. Installed my new closet the very next day. Beautiful job, great team, and it’s a joy to get dressed every morning because I can see everything and it’s not just functional it’s so pretty, bright and organized ❤️

We have used California Closets on two occasions - once for our master closet and another time more recently to finish out the closets in our kids rooms. In both experiences we found the designers to be responsive and thoughtful in their designs. The renderings of the plans make it incredibly easy to see what to expect and ensure there are no surprises come time for install. We have been able to transition our spaces from catch alls that lacked function to well structured closets that accommodated for our vision. Our kids love their pull out baskets for sports equipment and the fact that the double hanging areas allow them to more easily access things they use daily and when the installers were here and my husband mentioned he had a loose hanging rod they fixed it on the spot. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful and reliable solutions.

We highly recommend Northern New Jersey California Closets Group (California Closets- Fairfield). We needed to revamp our bedroom closets and Laura, Steve and Joe were very helpful making the whole process from designing to installing easy.The results are wonderful. We love our new closets.

Elizabeth, the designer, and the installers, did a fabulous job. We were very pleased with the design and the installation. And the price was very competitive. We’ve used California closets before and will likely use them again.

TL;DR - California Closets is great; do it! You know when you look at a lot of good reviews and sometimes wonder how accurate they are or if they're all friends of the company?? For CC - Fairfield, my experience (as a real person not affiliated with the company, haha) matched the glowing reviews on here.
Lori was my designer and she was so thoughtful and creative with the 5 small closets in my Jersey City unit. I didn't think there'd be much we'd be able to do (esp since I had a budget I wanted to stick to), but Lori worked her magic and I'm so glad I was wrong. She patiently worked with me when I reached back out twice to have design and color changes, and sent me redesigns to approve quickly. She helped me stay within budget (even with prep and painting added in), and now I have beautiful closets with SO MUCH SPACE! I debated going to a GC or other closet companies, but after speaking with Lori, I knew I wanted to go with the trusted CC name.
Charles did the closet prep and painting in one very efficient day; he gladly listened to me when I wanted to save a wall from painting because of some kid scribbles. Rafael and Auran did the closet install, and they were so professional. After the install they cleaned up everything, and they were very mindful and respectful of my space and parents and kids coming in and out. They communicated throughout the day and gave me a knowledgable rundown of my new closets. Thanks, Lori, Charles, Rafael, and Auran!
Also shoutout to the unsung heroes behind the scenes, especially Michelle who helped me schedule my install even though I had to reschedule a couple of times because unexpected travel.

Rebecca and the installers, Hubert and Chris, were GREAT! Rebecca worked closely with me before and mid project and even checked on the work while it was being done. I love my closets - we are so happy with the results and have been able to do without our bedroom furniture which allows us so much more space. Thank you!

Our experience was great. We had our master bedroom closet remodeled. The selection of what we wanted was available, the timeliness of expected installation was perfect. The representative and installers were professional and experienced.
