Today I visited this branch in Fair Lawn and the banker Aramis helped me. He was very professional, kind and solved my issue smoothly. This is the second time he helped me and both times he exceeded expectations, I think he is an important asset for the bank. It is because of bankers like Aramis that I still keep my account opened with Columbia Bank, it is not the bank, it is because of the people. Banks without their bankers, means nothing, is just one more bank in the market, their bankers make the difference and Aramis is one of them.Thank you Aramis.

I recently filled out an application online for a mortgage prequalification. I submitted all my documents electronically. The loan officer, Nuno Poitevin NMLS ID# 223216 was the agent assigned to my application. Two days past and I had yet to hear from the bank, however, the real estate agent contacted me to disclose very detailed, personal information about my application, and my credit report. I asked the agent is this how the bank handles customer sensitive information, and she was quick to back track explaining that herself and Nuno. very closely together and that the bank representative had contacted her to inform her that my loan could not be honored. I asked the agent if the bank doesn’t follow their privacy guidelines, as I, the client, had not heard directly from Nuno, yet she had all my information. Shortly after I got off the phone with the real estate agent, I received a casual text message from Nuno just saying hello. I replied the next day, hoping that he’d pick up the phone and handle the interaction professionally, but to no avail. While it’s unfortunate that I was not able to meet the requirements at this time, Nuno was not professional to reach out and discuss the information directly with me. In my opinion this bank does not follow their privacy policies and one’s personal information can be shared with whom ever they choose. I would not recommend them as a secure financial institution.

I was excited to see the beautiful new renovations happening at this bank, and I often visit the stores located in the same strip. I was planning to move my business and personal accounts here for convenience until the owner had my sons car towed, from a shared parking lot, because he was having lunch at a local restaurant. What happened to small businesses supporting one another? I will NOT be opening an account where local citizens are punished for contributing to the communities commerce. I, very unfortunately, do NOT recommend supporting this business. I'm very disappointed!

The new manager Dana needs some training in customer experience. Angie Nieves and a Edwin Méndez are great they are consistently taking the time to understand my needs. Everyone else is great but the manager seems to be on a high horse always commanding people around and avoiding customer escalations. She basically acts as if she’s busy to avoid any concerns. It was not my first or last visit that this behavior has occurred. After 18 years of having my first account along with my largest savings there I will be ending my relationship this weekend. I wish she did better from the first time I meet her a little over a year ago

What i like about this bank is that they have a coin counting machine for all your change that you can use for free if you have an account there. BUT 90% of the time the machine stops working for some reason and then you have to WAIT for someone that knows how to get it going again. And again and again because it keeps happening. Also most of the employees there look very stressed and really don't say anything except next. Only one male Hispanic employee is very nice and helpful who i try to get because I feel comfortable with him and he doesn't act like hes annoyed and always helpful.

Not a bank for all type of people. I tried to open a business account with this bank some time ago and it just wasn't cutting it. Too much restrictions unless you are willing to pay. But if you are opening a small savings account, this is the bank for you.
