Doubtful that it is possible to charge more for beer and wine than this store does. Their prices actually exceed Rumson Buy Rite, which is a stunning accomplishment.

Rarely do I post bad reviews but I just had a very bad experience at this store. Paid for and walked out with a six pack. One beer immediately fell out from the obviously compromised plastic holder thingie and burst open, spewing beer from a pin hole. Two separate staffers refused to let me exchange it for another six pack because it happened after I left the store, telling me it was my fault. When I protested (admittedly with a with a profanity), they offered to get the owner, “but he’ll tell you the same thing,” one snidely said with absolute certainty. The owner immediately overruled them (after examining said plastic thingie and declaring it defective), but then when I asked him to step outside so I could tell him I felt mistreated by his staff, he got all huffy and then when I gently touched him to get him to calm down, he went into a huge and physically threatening “Don’t ever touch me again” rant. He then walked away without listening to my complaint. I went back in and told him I’ll never set foot into his store again. Been going there for many years. No more.

This is a small town liquor store in a great little town and from what I can tell, this store has been here for a good few years. However, the staff at this store are so consistently rude and unwelcoming, shame on me for ever giving them my business more than once. It's a wonder that a store so out of keeping with its surroundings manages to survive. Some common courtesy would go a long way!

Great place to go for wine. Barbara is very knowledgeable and can pair the perfect wine with a meal if you are not certain. They have a unique selection of wine to suit anyone's pallet. Definitely worth stopping in

I just left the Cellar in Fair Haven. Have shopped there many times even though it is small if I'm on my way and need something quick. Today was one of those days and needed a bottle to bring to a friends house. I chose a skinny girl margarita which was on a display. There were TWO different signs saying it was on sale $2 off. When he rung me up he charged me full price. I pointed out that there were signs indicating it was on sale. He walked over, pulled off the signs and told me they were wrong. I said he should honor the $2 off and he said "well you don't have to buy it!" It was so rude over a measly $2. I can't believe it. Such B.S. Never again will I go there.
