Very interesting acme when you look at the reviews about this place especially the 1 starred ones, they are not far from wrong. Most things inside of the store are scattered around the place and aren’t restocked. Usually kids in the store bothering store workers and talking to this lady which I hope isn’t the manager the way she acts and talks to customers. I didn’t catch her name but she’s an old lady with glasses mid 50’s at least. The hypocrisy that comes from this woman is unbelievable, I once went into the store when there was hardly any customers just a few using self checkout and she was ringing up a customer on her register section when all of a sudden assistance was needed on self checkout because there was an issue on the machine. The customer asked the lady several times for assistance but she bagan on raising her voice saying “give me a minute don’t you see i’m ringing up a customer?” I don’t know if the customer misheard her but she just ignored what she said. She began on ranting about how self checkout is taking clerks jobs because no one wants to go to them to pay for there stuff. Another time when I was at acme the same lady was there talking to a group of girls around the age of 13-16 talking about how mischievous she was and bad deeds she has done and keep in mind she’s talking to 13-16 year olds when she’s like triple there age pushing late 50’s and instead of doing her job that she complains about she rather talk to the girls instead of helping out around the store or opening up a line to ring people up. Acme is only decently good in the mornings through afternoon where people actually help you and ask if you need assistance with anything while the evening it seeems like there’s some managing problems going on with employees being on there phones and giving attitude to customers. If I were you i’d rather take a bit of a longer drive to a better supermarket like shoprite a different acme etc.

This is the second time I visited one of your Acme stores. This one is located in Fair Haven where customer service is not on the list of priorities. I just stop by to pick up some clams for dinner and I had a gentleman being totally rude and disrespectful. As I tried to place my order he is telling me I have to pretty much be quiet because he is on the phone with his wife pharmacy as he can’t remember the order I gave him. I truly don’t understand why people act this way. You’re working to provide a service I didn’t need to know the ins and out of your wife’s pharmacy prescriptions.

This store is an absolute mess.Their deli counter is dingy and closed by dinnertime (due to staff shortage, apparently), their bagged salad is often expired, sale prices ring up as full price, (be sure to check your receipt before leaving the store), and usually there is only one cashier on duty (again, was told due to staff shortage). Do yourself a favor and take the 7 minute (2 miles) drive to Acme in Little Silver. They have multiple cashiers on duty, and their deli counter is fully staffed, very clean and well lit. Kudos to you Little Silver for an excellent shopping experience!

This location is clean and we'll stocked. My wife and I generally don't shop at acme markets due to how much higher their prices are vs the competition in the area. In many cases we have found the prices to be at least 10 percent higher but sometimes 20-25 percent higher.

My recommendation is download the ap ... Register for for U...I shop and ONLY but what I use... And average a 40% saving... It takes some effort but WELL worth it!!!!!

Warning - Mismarked product pricing. I am tried, time and again that produce is marked on sale the rings up for the full price. I can only imagine how many people get gouged and when you point it out to them, they wont stand to their mistake. THIS IS VERY BAD SERVICE!!
