From the time we had checked in, the reception staff members were as courteous as anyone can be and we were greeted with a great smile. We slept well feeling pleasant. In the morning, the custodial staff were greeting us with a smile as we went down stairs to the restaurant. Our party had the breakfast buffet and every single restaurant staff were so great to our family that we couldn’t feel any more pleasant from our visit to Crowne Plaza Englewood. Thank you to everyone at this wonderful hotel.

Hotel is a bit tired. Could definitely use some fresh paint, new carpeting and elevators that work. Location is good. In a nice neighborhood with nearby restaurants (I recommend Cassie's). Hotel is clean and staff is good. The breakfast buffet is very good and so is the service. Not a bad choice if in the area; close to bus line and easy to get anywhere in NYC.

This hotel is been an EXCELLENT visit. Annmarie and all staff were approachable, friendly and helpful. Room was neat and clean along with other areas that I visit. Again, me and my daughter had an AMAZING experience with our first time being here. Way to go TEAM!?

This hotel is a dump. It use to be decent but I’m surprised it’s even still open. It is very outdated in all aspects and now they don’t even have a bar. Sink drained very slow, found pubes in shower that weren’t mine, night stand had burn marks and stains all over them, wifi never worked for me, TV is the first generation flat screen, and they don’t have laundry bags for your dirty clothes. Felt more like an Inn than a hotel. I will never stay here again.

Came for the holidays. Great location if you plan to be in nyc often and not pay nyc prices. You also are in a town with main street about 5 min drive. Highly recommend Noches de Colombia for a nice breakfast or even better dinner. There is a bus that drops you off in 10 mins to nyc, and the return trip drops you off a block away from the hotel. Lobby was very clean. Pool, had a bit of a smell to it....so I didn't go in the pool. Shower head in hotel room sprayed everywhere really, and the microwave was a bit small. Other than that, staff very helpful.

I enjoyed my two night stay with my 2 year old. We both enjoyed the heated pool. The staff was exceptional. Every encounter I had with a staff member was pleasant and genuine. The area is very secluded, so there isn't really too much happening in the neighborhood...so it kinda would of been nice if the bar they had in lobby was operating... maybe next visit it will be! I did appreciate the food truck in the parking lot! I definitely look forward to my future stay with them!Rooms: Rooms has all your basic necessities. Everything seems to be modernized. What feature I enjoyed the most was the outlets. So if you forgot you plug box they have USB chargers several places in the room. Also maybe more channels offered on the TV or a smart TV so there's Netflix, Hulu etc access...especially since there isn't too much activity happening on premisesSafety: I can say I felt safe for the most part. My first night I was a little paranoid because there wasn't too many people on my floor. I didn't like that... but late night a tour bus full of people arrived & I was happy for that! The area is isolated so walking on foot your not going to get far there very little happening. So driving is a must for the most part.Walkability: Nonexistent! There's a restaurant a few feet away behind the hotel, a Dominican food truck in the parking lot and a small juice market behind the hotel....You won't get far on foot! Driving is a must!

The hotel was amazing, the front staff are so ignorant. First, they didn’t like that the hotel was under my fathers name and then she definitely didn’t like that my name and address on my ID didn’t match his. Thankfully my sister was with me and had her ID and everything matched so she was as nice as our to her. Secondly, when we got to the room we noticed the lamp was broken. I had just driven 3 hours and was tired so didn’t get to mention it to them until the morning. She was so rude when I was checking out and told her the lamp was broken and WHY would I not say anything when we checked in. Lastly, she told me I was being charged for drinking the coffee from the machine in the room, only to find out days later she checked me out of the WRONG room. Worst check in experience ever and I will not be back. My dad got back all of the points he used because corporate was so embarrassed. The hotel was awesome though. Convenient access to the city and the beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Updated: before I checked out, I decided to go to the pool. Gross. The ring on the tile was disgusting. I was in the pool for 40 minutes before I realized it wasn't old tile I was looking at. I almost threw upSee pictures. Also when I checked in, one elevator was out. When I left, both elevators were out. I had to climb 9 floors and then come back down with all my luggage within a 1/2 hour. AwfulOriginal review:I have to say, I was expecting the worst facilities based on the reviews that I read after I booked. What I found was actually a clean, relatively modern lobby, and the best customer service upon arrival. Michelle, at the front desk, was patient and attentive. She was a bubbly breath of fresh air. I saw her help the people who came in before me as well.My 9th floor room was clean and nice looking. Not fancy. But warm and pleasant ; equipped with an iron and ironing board, microwave, coffee pot and fridge. No safe? There were plenty of outlets. Which is great because I needed the desk and outlets for work. The desk and both night stands have outlets and USB plugs.Any 5 star hotel should have bath tubs, a 24 hour gym, safes in every room and working elevators. Waiting for an elevator for more than 5 minutes was not in my plans. One of 2 elevators was out of service.

This hotel deserves a ZERO. I did my check in online but wanted to change my arrival time. I called the hotel directly for over an hour and all I got was a busy signal. I ended up calling the reservation phone number to let the hotel know. Warning take the stairs if possible. My husband and I got on the elevator, pushed the buttons and then everything stopped and the panel went black. We pressed the bell to alert staff, we pressed the emergency button, I called the front desk (several times) crickets, nothing. My husband finally called 911 for fear his portable oxygen concentrator would need recharging. Englewood Fire Department arrived promptly and it took them about 20 minutes to get us out. We walked downstairs to checkout and again, nothing. No are you alright, no I’m sorry this happened, not even can I give you a bottle of water. Manager and staff didn’t even acknowledge we had been stuck in the elevator for over an hour. NEVER AGAIN!!!
