I reserved a car through the Avis in Englewood NJ. The car was infested with bed bugs!!!!!! I had to drive to New York to switch cars. The whole process messed up my trip. I was suppose to be on the road but I had to take the trip to switch the cars. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Mazhar scammed us we were stuck in NJ and reserved with them… they gave us a car with a cracked windshield stating there were no other vehicles and that they notated the rental was previously damaged; now 2 days later it’s our responsibility! Thieves!!!!!! The car was dirty on the inside and outside they clearly do not clean their vehicles!

The vehicle I picked up was very dirty including dog hair, dust and dirt. When the attendant 'disinfected' the vehicle, he did a hasty job of wiping down the interior but it took less than 5 minutes, so it didn't really seem like there was much done for my safety as a driver.I needed to get on the road so I didn't complain but now I wish I would have. When I dropped the car off it didn't feel fair for me to have to clean the car and have it returned in better condition than when I picked it up especially since I had spent thousands of dollars on this rental.The attendant was extremely rude to me and shook his head telling me that the car was a disaster even though the dirt, dust and dog hair was there when I had picked up the car. I tried to explain this to him but he shook his head and informed me that they would be charging me $450 to clean the vehicle.I decided to take the car around the corner and spend $30 to have it cleaned. When I returned the vehicle, he said it was satisfactory. I tried to explain that the car was a mess when I picked it up but he said he didn't want to hear it. I'll probably never rent from this agency again. They should really do a better job of cleaning their vehicles.

The clerk who checked us into our vehicle was really nice. Car was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The only downside was that the gas was listed as full on our agreement, but only a half of tank was in the vehicle when we picked it up. I’ll be watching for an extra charges because we did what we were told and left it how we found it.

Worst experience ever! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!! The man at the desk gave me the biggest runaround & tells me I only have a 15 minute grace period to return a car when a customer service supervisor told me that was a lie. On top of that, they tell me I can pay with a debit card but proceed to tell me that I have to use my credit card & then tell me that they are trying to charge my card the full amount after he JUST told me that I can use my debit card to pay. I had to cancel my reservation because I needed to go back to work. I will never return to this location & I will make sure everyone knows how this company conducts business, INCLUDING their customer service line.

Only one person working here, he's vacuuming cars while 6 people are waiting inside with nobody else to process car pick-ups and drop-offs.

I called upon coming here and asked if a debit card was accepted for deposit and was told yes (also googled to verify) I came all the way to this location for the same man on the phone to tell me they aren’t accepted . Went to enterprise next door and got treated properly which I greatly appreciated

Outstanding customer service. Avis closed at 2:00pm. I called at 1:34pm, and asked if they would wait for me as I was 20 minutes away and would get there at 2pm. Irum said she would wait for me. I told her I would make an online reservation and drive to Englewood. I ran into some traffic...I called again at 1:54 and spoke to Irum again and let her know I would be a little late possibly 2:05pm. She told me she would wait for me. Irum waited for me and helped me. I've used Avis before and it has always been a wonderful experience. Irum's kindness truly made me never want to use another car rental company ever again.

I took the car on Sunday noon so I can drive very early Monday morning for work travel.Immediately after I reached home, the car DIDN'T START (and I could not use it for the planned work travel the next day). I called Avis and reported this. After 2 hours I called again. They said they haven't started to look at this. After another 2 hours of few calls they told me they will send someone at around 1am at night to take me from NJ to LaGuardia airport (around 90min drive each way) to take a replacement car.I told them they can take the car , and I don't need it anymore, and I will manage with my private car. They took the car.It has been 3 weeks now and they haven't refunded me. I keep calling the Avis shop - they keep referring me back to Avis call center (who are not answering)...
