Lobby Hours (6am-6pm) i went today 08/05/24 to pick my mail from one of the boxes at 7:34am and main door was closed. We have 2 business boxes and this is the time i always go pick all our mail. Ohh let me mention that this is the 3rd time is happening.
I dont usually go inside (counters) unless we have a package to mail and their staff are very good.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Maryella and the team at the Elmwood Park, NJ Post Office. I made two mistakes (Not mailing with a tracking number and losing my receipt) of an envelope with very important paperwork. The original customer service rep at the 1-800 number helped me get in touch with the local Elmwood Park office, and Maryella sprung into action!
She helped get in contact with the wonderful mail person who identified my envelope and assured me it would be delivered same day.
I was blown away by the level of personal assistance and service they offered. They did not need to do that, but it honestly goes such a long way from a customer experience perspective.
Thank you so much, Maryella and team and the Elmwood Park branch!

i don't know why everyone gives such harsh reviews, they deal with the public the entire time they are working, no down time and people not knowing what their doing; and no, that doesn't mean that they should be rude, but i think they are pleasant, always help me out, maybe customers can be a little nicer!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERE!!! They’re so disrespectful, especially a young woman!!!! she was so mean and disrespectful. i went because i paid +$28 for priority mail express and the package didn’t arrive until a week after. I went to get a refund as they told me on the phone that i could get one because my package didn’t arrive on time. so i went and these two ladies did NOTHING to help. they didn’t even check my tracking number. they didn’t do anything to help and they were nothing but DISRESPECTFUL & HELPLESS!!!!!!! especially the young african american woman. she screamed at me all the time and was super disrespectful when i was just trying to ask for help. HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND HORRIBLE SERVICE

Horrible staff, seem bothered to help anyone. Asked for priority shipping and was sent first class. Package is lost showing as "in transit" for over 8 days.

The younger lady with the long hair is terribly rude for no reason. I was a bit confused on the kind of box I had to use and scolded me in public. She was disrespectful and mean. The older lady helped me out, but she made it feel like it was a huge favor.I would go out of my way, so I don’t have to deal with this unprofessional behavior, but I think their strategy is just to be mean to people, so they don’t have to work a lot, so… I will still be going because it’s close by. I just will use a really thick layer of kindness, and eventually win them over.

Be very careful about scanning QR Codes at this Post Office. Despite them having QR Codes on nearly everything, they get very unsettled and edgy if you whip out your smartphone to snap a pic. No kidding... in today's day and age, cameras put them over the cliff. Very unchill.

I go to this post office often, usually on Saturday and this is the best location around. been sending my ebay sales out from here for over 10 years. Amazinng staff!!!!! usually I just walk in and use their drop box but if its empty I will go in and say hello... never had any issues here and I have been to all the post office locations in the fair lawn/ elmwood park area this is #1. Usually they are very busy but it is because they are better than everyone else so people come here, including me and I live in Saddle brook.

Not a bad post office if you don’t mind getting half your mail. In the last month my American Express bill showed on my informed delivery account, but it never arrived. Then 2 weeks ago I saw my pseg bill, but that never arrived. Today a doctors bill, disappeared. No one there cares. At best they shrug, like I don’t really care. They are the worst.

The one star is for the fact that once again we had a hold mail request ignored. When it's our regular delivery person there is no problem however when they have substitute mail carriers they seem to ignore things like mail hold requests. Maybe it's the training or the way the post office is run, but it's really disappointing that we can't trust the post office.
