I usually enjoy shopping here when the owner is here, but today he had Spanish women running the store and they followed me from aisle to aisle within the 4 minutes I was in the store … so I left my items and am shopping elsewhere (yes I’m a black woman)

My family and I shopped at this store since it opened and today the lady working was watching me as I shopped instead of ordering me assistance. I run a retail business myself and I would never treat my customers this way. I won’t be coming back and I will let my family know not to do the same.

Staff are nice and helpful, not too pushy which is nice, they give you your space to shop but still are interactive with you. Checkout is always super fast. ?

Today, The owner (usually the cashier) of the shop accused me of stealing, LOCKED ME INSIDE THE STORE, and called the police on me.After 2 years of shopping here I will NO LONGER patronize this shop, NOR HIS OTHER SHOPS IN NEWARK AND HILLSIDE.THANK YOU FOR THE MISTREATMENT. Now I know where I'm not wanted. I'm a hardworking woman and I don't deserve this.
