Joe is easy to deal with. Honest. Gets the job done. Honest recommendations as opposed to a car dealer trying to sell you unnecessary stuff.

PLEASE READ: [unfortunately I would currently give no stars , if given the option] : My husband had a Long term customer relationship since the shop was Van Beesels. A few years ago, the shop was renamed The Auto Shop ll after Mr Van Beesel passed away, & Mr Van Beesel's daughter & son in law took ownership . Joe W. the mechanic , continues to run the shop & is the only mechanic . In summary, My husband had Ongoing issues in the last few years with the brakes on his aged Dodge truck , including COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE *TWICE * IN ONLY 6 WEEKS IN THE SUMMER OF 2018 ( while driving on the GS Parkway no less) . Because We believed He had a trusting (long term relationship ) with the shop & Joe, We accepted their diagnosis / repairs each time , until the last brake failure in August 2018, when We took the truck to Inman Auto Care in Colonia. We realized in hindsight after diagnosis from Inman Auto ( see below) that our trust was not warranted in the last few years, 'coincidentally ' since Mr Van Beesel became ill & subsequently passed away, & the business changed hands. INMAN AUTO CARE WRITTEN DIAGNOSIS (WITH CORRESPONDING PHOTOS ) WAS AS FOLLOWS: -Leaking in the brake line/ hose; -Rotted/ rusted brake line; - Kinked hose; - **ALSO they noted that the previous mechanic ( the aforementioned Joe) had pieced together compression fittings , which are known to be NOT ONLY UNSAFE , BUT ILLEGAL** We authorized Inman Auto Care to make the repairs/ replacements. My husband has not had ANY issues since! In fact the truck runs better than ever. Today with pictures / evidence in tow, My husband won a consumer fraud court case against The Auto Shop ll (Raabe v The Auto Shop ll , now of public record) Lesson learned: Buyers always beware!

Brought my NIssan Sentra to them recently and they told me I had a damaged transmission that needed to be replaced. Joe was honest enough to tell me that it should be under warranty with Nissan and if brought to them it would be taken care of. While they didn't end up completing the work, I certainly appreciated his candidness and will be happy to bring him my car repairs in the future !! Jason Gauthier

I highly recommend this place. Joe and John are pleasant gentlemen and excellent mechanics with great auto trouble shooting skills. A little expensive perhaps but I am very confident in their ability to do things right when I take my car there.
