I have gotten massaged by Michelle a few times and each one was amazing. Whether it was for relaxation or targeting a problem area I left feeling much better than when i arrived. I will definitely keep going back to her.Updated review 10/30/23Michelle continues to work wonders with my back and neck issues. I feel like a new person after each session. The place is always clean and serene. She offers many modalities to choose from to help what is troubling you. 10 out of 10 .

So glad I found this place! Not only Michelle is an excellent massage therapist, she is so knowledgeable on different health conditions she customizes every session to accommodate for it. I felt elevated and I swear my pain was gone for a few hours! Trying out massage with meditation next, and definitely my go to place as long as I stay in the area!

I will update this review with even more to come once I get the chance, but I just have to say that the woman running the massage place is very personable and friendly. I cannot wait for the actual treatment!Edit to my review: there is a very good reason why her massage place is rated with five stars: she is THAT GOOD.Keep in mind that this woman is currently a one-woman massage parlor, yet she runs it so successfully on her own. She is truly a beast and so friendly.She'll talk to you, then let you zone out once you're comfortable.Oh, and to be extremely blunt for any creeps lurking around: DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A MASSAGE.This place is for people who want therapy to improve their mental and physical health. So, please do yourself a favor and make sure that that's genuinely why you're coming.Michelle is a gem of a massage therapist and deserves all the reviews that she gets. Her parlor is also located in a really awesome complex with just about everything from really good local coffee to pizza to Chinese food and bubble tea!

Lately the stress from work has been getting to me. I usually try to get one massage a month to relieve the tension in my body. It was pretty bad that even prior to this session I had a thai massage elsewhere but needed more. I have been looking at many places throughout NYC but everything was very expensive until I found this place.The experience was amazing. Prior to making an appointment I spoke with Michelle on the phone to see what she recommended since there was a variety of different massages I've never heard of. I ended up deciding on medical massage. Good thing I got to the location early as the directions on my gps pointed me to the wrong parking lot.Before and after our session started Michelle consulted on what I've been going through with my neck, lower back & hip. She was very knowledgable and provided a lot of insight. During our 90 minute session she was very thorough and addressed the issues that were bothering me and some more. She was conversational when needed and I felt at ease. I almost nodded off a few times. The time went by fairly quickly when you're at such a comfortable level and I wished it never ended.As she communicated this is not a one time fix all type of massage. We agreed that there is continued work that must be done to get my body right. Looking forward to future sessions with Michelle. She was awesome!

I have been in desperate need of a massage, but was struggling to find a massage therapist with good reviews and that had an easy online booking system. I found Rising Lotus Holistic and was hopeful as the reviews were great. I had a deep-tissue massage last week and I was so incredibly pleased!I added the aromatherapy oil and a scalp massage with hair oil to my massage. Michelle took the time to tell me about each of the hair and aromatherapy oils and options and let me smell samples of each of the aromatherapy oils before choosing one. She also had documentation of the ingredients and benefits so I could make an informed decision. They all smelled great and I ended up going with the sore muscle oil which was a great choice for me.The deep tissue massage was the perfect amount of pressure. I felt the muscles were getting worked without excessive pain or discomfort. I verged on falling asleep many times because it was so relaxing. The massage was wonderful and to top that off, Michelle was a wonderful kind presence that immediately puts you at ease.Some other things - the massage room is clean and relaxing. I have seen reviews of other massage places being very pushy about tips and Michelle is completely the opposite. If you are in need of a good massage I highly recommend Rising Lotus Holistic!

I just had my first massage and I swear I feel I gained a few inches in my height. As a new nurse this is what I EXACTLY needed. Michelle was so sweet and worked so well with making me feel comfortable and gave me some amazing advice after. I’m definitely coming back here routinely !

Michelle is extremely knowledgeable and went out of her way to figure out what was cause my calf tightness after PT and acupuncture and massage wouldn't fix it. She used a kinetic activation technique and massage, gave me home exercises, and I felt immediate relief. Highly recommend!

I recently started running and decided to visit after seeing many positive reviews on Yelp - and now I know why there are so many! I went in for a sports massage and a week later was back for a 1-1 yoga session (my first time for both!). Throughout both sessions Michelle was highly informative, professional, and attentive - talking through all the details of what I was feeling, why that was, and how to improve. As she told me, these are things we’re never taught, and she’s totally right. She really cares about helping her clients improve their wellbeing and I would highly recommend her services.

I've been going to Rising Lotus for about a year and a half now. Great vibe and Michele is a fantastic therapist. I can't decide which I love most the Swedish massage, the stretching sessions or Thai yoga massage which I just had tonight. Go book your session with her. You will love it! I can't wait for my next visit!

The word AMAZING just doesn’t cut it. I can’t stop raving about how great I felt after my massage. You can tell when someone loves what they do and are educated on their craft. Not only did I feel comfortable every step of the way but I felt like so much weight was lifted off of me as I was walking out. It is more then worth it! I tell everyone about this place and I can’t wait till my next session.

Michelle is the best massage therapist ever. I recently added cupping as an add-on to my monthly massages and it’s worked even more wonders for my low back issues. She is so attentive, and works with you to meet your needs and give you the best massage experience ever. My back feels so much better since I’ve been coming, I will not miss a month!
