I recently visited Home Depot in Edison on rt 1to purchase a plastic tarp and overall had a positive experience. The store was clean and well-organized, making it easy to find the item I was looking for. The associates were friendly and helpful, offering to assist me in finding the right size tarp for my needs. The tarp itself was of good quality and reasonably priced. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit to Home Depot and would recommend it to others in need of home improvement supplies.

July 2022 by A.L. F.
I usually go to the S. Plainfield Home Depot where I know nearly all the dayside crew. Once in a while, I will go to the one on RT. 1 because Its right off 287 and I can get right back on. A few times Ive noticed the self check out "watchers" being a bit overzealous. Today, July 27,2022 I encountered Marco..or Marcos. EIther way, im done ringing up my items, and Im just about to press the "Print" option for my receipt. As soon as my finger nears the screen, a big, over anxious kid Marcos jumps out from between the racks that seperate the two check out areas. He yells out ,"BYE!!!!" I look up at him and say, "What?" He replies, "Are you hard of hearing? I said, BYE!!" Now Im just lost...Where did you come from? There was a female here at first...she stepped off to assist another associate not far from this area. So I dont want to assume I was being watched by Marco the entire time, but...If it walks and quacks like a duck...then........oh well. So I ask the lady there was the kid ok...(as in is he OK like, special needs or anything.) I have a sibling who is, so I know how to engage. Turns out he wasnt autistic or anything according to her. HE was just doing his job by crossing from HIS side of the self check out...WAY over to HER side just to yell out "BYE!" to me. Mind you, I know the protocol for a lot of the businesses is, "Say hello and good bye to let them know, "Hey we see you, and we are paying attention." I know this. For him to come way over to the area where I was just to say that, really pissed me off a lot. I feel watched EVERY time I go into this branch by these self check out security people. Once I bought a garbage can and lid along with nearly 400.00 worth of other items. Guess who was on the scene to check inside the can to make sure I only had one can and one lid...or nothing 'Accidentally' fell inside? BYE! I wont be back to this one again.

I stand patiently for 10 minutes with a few other customers waiting for a forklift driver to finish loading palettes onto the floor. Finally I waved and asked - how much longer until I can get down the aisle to look at lights? He said about another 30 mins. I guess the customer doesn't really matter. I'm going to get this done at ACE. Honestly, the store closes at 9 and you want me to wait another 30 minutes to get down the aisle. Put yourself in the customers shoes please.

This home depot has the worst customer service, they are rude and keep complaining they don't have enough people...so they tell customers to leave...there is this rude guy nicholas, he needs to be let go, he is extremely rude to customers...this home depot is going down hill, woodbridge is much nicer...I see so many customers there who come and have been left dejected

RACIST STAFF! One of their self checkout associates took the scanner gun from my hand and was scanning my stuff and asking if I was making sure I got everything. Made me feel UNCOMFORTABLE, and made me feel like I was STEALING. I will NEVER SHOP AGAIN AT THIS HOME DEPOT EVER AGAIN!!!

if I could give it no stars I would this place is so highly disrespectful and they discriminating against someone's age , I went in and made a return used my i.d everything was fine now I do returns like once a week because clients change there minds all the time I never have a problem unless there is this female there who is short with blonde and brown hair she is a nasty woman she believes any young person who comes in there is just a theif and will refuse a return or lie and say it denied the return which never is denied and in the last two days I spent 4000 dollars there and today I had to return some stuff for a client and she denied it because of my i.d which is the same i.d I always use and she denied my exchange for my razor that has a lifetime warranty which she can't do because it's not a home depot product it's Milwaukee so that's not good and also she is making my business look bad because now my clients are stuck with 200 in material or have to go and return it them self which is not rite and she pretty much said to the other lady why does he need a pro account and I doubt that was clients she just doesn't believe someone who is young can have a successful business all she has to do is look at my pro account and see how much money I spend there and return there it's on my pro account I have a gold status on my pro account , so I speak to the manager and he sticks up for her and says she is sweet and isn't at fault I'm at fault I was in the wrong I should have followed policy which I spoke to the main headquarters and they said no matter what is wrong with your I d as long as you have one they have to take the return epically when u have a pro account , I have never been so disrespected in my life because I'm young I stole it and returned it like come on now just stop that's so wrong , my pro account speaks for itself also I have clients who I do work for and I'm talking people who spend 10000 on material and are very important people and I will never bring my business back there , so good job home Depot not only did you lose a great business customer but I promise I will have some of the biggest companies never go there again ,, I can't wait to speak to the regional manager
