My daughter recently had a catastrophic failure with her BMW X1. Being in the car business, all auto related things be they positive or negative full squarely in my lap. The closest dealer to her is Open Road in Edison which is where the car was towed. Again, being in the car business my bar for customer satisfaction is set rather high. Enter Service Manager Tony Martin. If you need BMW service and haven't met him, you really should. Old school, professional service combined with him being a hell of a nice guy make the service experience there pleasant and painless. Same with sales. Speaking as someone who's been in the car business for the better part of 20 years, this is the place to go. Kudos and much thanks!

Was interested in a BMW M8 comp heard everyone saying amazing things about the people that worked there. I was told to go and look for the salesman Zar. Such a genuine guy got me out the door in a couple hours. And gave me some gifts too I will def be keeping in touch with him about future cars for the wife and kids! Thanks again Zar you the truly the best. Take it from me and pay this man a visit!

If I could rate 0 stars that would more accurately rate my experience. I received a letter stating your recall part is in... so I scheduled my appointment a week in advance. Recalls are attached to your vin so a decent service center would look at the appointments that are coming in especially recalls to make sure the part is in and if not call your customer back to reschedule for when it is in. When I got in I was not permitted to speak to a service tech I was told to sit down and they will call you. There was no other customers at the desk, there were about seven service advisors, Thirty minutes into me waiting I am finally called to the desk to speak to M. Televera. I asked how long does the recall take she says some time, I asked for more specific timing maybe 2-3 hours? She states closer to 3. Sooo she clearly knew how long it takes why would you give a customer the response some time?! I say okay can the shuttle bring me to the mall? She says give the driver a few have a seat. The driver meets me at the parts counter about 10 minutes later and says he will be waiting for me outside. The service advisor comes over to me and states she is glad I am still here. we don't have the part for the recall. I say but I got a letter stating the part is in and made the appointment a week ago. She replies yep I understand but the part isn't in. When it comes in I will call you. In the mean time I will have the guys do a multipoint inspection and bring your car out. No apology for wasting a customer time and money to get to BMW. Twenty minutes later she walked pass me and says oh your still here let me see what's taking so long. She casually walks out and states oh he found an oil leak when I get the information I'll let you know pricing. After 15 more minutes of sitting and waiting I go stand at the desk and ask more about the oil leak. She basically couldn't tell me exactly about the oil leak, but once I heard the word gasket I remember I got that previously done in the past at another BMW dealership. I showed Ms. so helpful the receipt and she said call the previous dealer because it should be warranty. After that point she was no longer interested in even trying to sell me to get the other work done that was recommended. When I called BMW of Springfield who is night and day they did the proper research and realized it's two different issues. They looked up what was done previously and what Edison was recommending they told me to bring my car in, they will let me know when my recall part is in to schedule the appointment. Also BMW Springfield labor rate is $50 less, kind and knowledgeable service tech and mechanics! I just moved to the area and have and older BMW I am in the market for an upgrade but I'm sure Springfield BMW will take better care of me!

Brought my car in for some minor repairs and was informed that I needed tires and they were in stock. Long story short 6 days later I got my car back. They really need to work on honesty as I was told daily that the tires would be delivered the next day.

Stay away!! Don not do business with this privately owned BMW dealer. Worst experience with reception, parts, and service advisor. My story stems from being stranded in NJ while traveling to another state on Easter weekend with my wife, daughter, elderly parents with pet in vehicle and a brake caliper on my BMW X5 became loose and was dragging against rotor. After calling dealership and trying to get assistance for a tow and service, they stopped answering the phones after myself and my wife tried calling them. When they did answer , they didn't say anything, they transferred our calls to mailboxes. They did not want to help us. Not a great experience when I'm certain that the brand strives for positive dealership feedback and focuses on customer experience to improve their quality standards. I would expect This type of service from other domestic brands, not BMW. Will never ever be looking to purchase or service at this location moving forward and will reflect bad experience through internet and word of mouth as life goes on. Thanks for listening as I value feedback from being in the industry myself, that's the ironic part of this. I'm a service advisor myself on Long Island and would never ever treat customers like this. Shameful. I was able to tow the vehicle to a local pep boys, locate part in junk yard, uber myself to and from junkyard and had pep boys install. Was back on road within a few hours. Stay away from open road BMW. Call me 6317101801 if you need more on this story.

I've been an open road bmw customer for years. The dealership made a mistake and now no one will answer the phone or respond to an email. Buyer beware. your leasing/ buying experience will be great but after you buy your car it's all downhill from there. Extremely poor way to treat your customers. I called my sales rep for a week. No response. Left a message for the general manager days ago. No response. The finance department- no call back for a week and then an email. When I asked for a call back I was told he can speak on Friday... that was on Tuesday. You don't have 5 minutes to speak to a customer for another three days. Interesting. Better business bureau here I come.

My family and I have been multiple BMW dealerships in the past, none has compared to Open Road Edison. We are on our 8th BMW collectively and the customer service has been an outstanding experience.

I've been here a couple times already and I've spoken with Brian. He's hard to miss because he has a British accent. This guy has been contacting me since the day he knew I was looking for a car. I've been holding out since last year September when we first spoke for a c300- 2022 :-(. He has been super patient with me and he is very witty. We constantly go back and forth over my choices and of course BMW has been my second choice. The good thing is I have seen Brian sell cars like he's selling candy. He is relentless when it comes to gaining your business. I love the x-4 but I dislike M class models. I don't care for all that stitching. I'd prefer luxury over sport. I'm just saying. He can order whatever car you'd prefer but it takes 6 weeks.

The service department has no idea what they're doing. They were supposed to perform an oil change only to drive home and realize it wasn't done. I waited for 2 hours for my car. It was done in an hour and a half and just sat there for 20 mins. I told them I was limited on time but nobody cared. After that they ruined my car by " washing " it only to make it filthy. I'm posting the video of the horrible job they did washing my car. They run this dealership like a Honda dealership. Save your money and go to another BMW dealership.

The best service they go above and beyond I had some mechanical issues with my car as I bought it used not from Edison. They looked into every check point the detail to attention was amazing and made my car showroom ready I had no idea how beautiful my car was because they detailed every inch of my car. First mistake was buying my car at a used car lot but I learned that I will never do that again for BMW's Edison is the best in Service and Sales not to mention the staff there from the General Manager to the service reps and every person there is so nice!

Mathias was great! My husband and I came to Open Road BMW on a Saturday evening to see our options for an upgrade. We wanted to stay with our BMW family, so it was great that Mathias could help us stay within a reasonable budget for our new 2022 purchase. We couldn't be happier with the customer service and our brand new car. I would def recommend Open Road BMW to anyone looking for a new car.

Do better and treat your guests with respect! Don't visit this BMW location. Opt for the Bridgewater or elsewhere.
