No returns after first week of purchase . What they say is you have to figure out whether if u need that book or not . After first week of semester if you purchase a book and day after you brought if you wanna return it is not possible they said. Also i was looking for Making Connections 4 and they have that book for 80$ but in amazon its 60$ idk why i would buy from here .

Called for information on returning a book because the hours are the exact same hours of my job so there is no leg room to return, got cut off and and hung up on after telling me to ship it. Been here a couple years and it’s been the same thing.

I went into the bookstore to return an item. The lady was extremely rude and gave me an attitude. She was also very condescending. When she was finished processing my return, she was dismissive and said nothing else. VERY unprofessional.

Overall the library manager and the assistant manager are great workers, very respectable, knowledgeable and hard-working. But the student body needs to be more sympathetic when it comes to technical system glitches/errors and not lose their patience with the bookstore workers for these inconveniences. Treat these great workers with respect and politeness and they will be able to provide you with great customer service.

The staff never answer the phone and their google hours are inaccurate.. Very incompetent and barely helpful. And everything is WAY over priced.

The only time I would recommend anybody to buy anything from here is never, unless absolutely necessary (like a lab manual). Everything is ridiculously overpriced, so you're better off buying used textbooks. Access codes are chaper if you buy them directly from the publisher. I know that there is a buy/sell used textbooks mcc facebook page, take a look there. As for the normal stuff (food, school supplies, electronics, etc.), just go to literally any other store, it is still overpriced here. The staff are friendly and helpful though, can't complain about them.

Love the people that work there, they are extremely helpful... but a closed mouth doesn't get fed, so I'm sure they can answer and help with all your needs!!

Yelp didn't have this college bookstore like registered on google so I added it on myself. Edit: Just realize the price of textbooks isn't really the bookstores fault. I see a lot of negative reviews are about that. Anyways, enjoy your semester and remember to price match any books if possible (Should be amazon fulfilled if price matching with them), ordering online or keeping your schedule with course codes ready when walking in will help the workers there help you get to your books asap. Please know that financial aid that isn't used is refunded, so try and consider your options beforehand on the website or you can click on the linked website to this location. Some classes have required plus optional material. I've shopped here. Had a wonderful experience. Now I have worked here. And I know I love this place. Keeping customers a priority and customer satisfaction isn't a chore to fit in. We always had time to assist customers. Best place I've worked and best bookstore I've been at. (Only bookstore too but besides the point. lol) In fact, this place and it's people had made me a person who owns 100+ books instead of 0! I would like to add that the prices aren't set by the bookstore itself. I know it can be an hassle with increasing prices. Just remember you don't need to buy the largest bundle or the newest book. Even if you are planning to use your financial aid, that refund check only gets smaller if you just buy everything new. Sometimes yeah it's unavoidable but anything if possible should be saved. Now is a good time to learn that important life skill :) Also realizing the struggle as a writer and sales from used books can help open a new perspective. Textbooks are costly because publishers release expensive new editions each year, undermining the used-book market. Since you can't profit off of used books. Sure we all deserve a great education but don't writers deserve their pay as well? I think it's only fair as a writer myself. Alex Neal, CEO of Campusbooks.com made some awesome explanations if you'd be interested in learning more! We can complain or we can learn and expand. In fact, That's what we are in college for. I hope.
