There’s a young lady named Daisy that works at this facility. Quite sad how discriminatory she is. I’ve been an LA Fitness member for 3 years now and never had a problem with pictures or recording. Never seen anyone else have a problem with recording or pictures. Today was the second time she’s had an issue with my fiancé and I recording our work outs. But walked right pass three others recording and didn’t say anything to them. Discrimination at it’s finest. I do not recommend this location at all. How are we the only 2 not allowed to record but you walk right by someone with a 5 foot tripod WHO IS OBVIOUSLY RECORDING and don’t say anything. THAT IS DISCRIMINATION!! WILL NEVER BE ATTENDING THIS LOCATION AGAIN…!!!

I have been working out at La Fitness for 7 years. The reason why I like us1 is: the location of the building is very sunny...the decoration is simple and fashionable...the space between the equipment is spacious...

I joined the Edison location recently using the trial membership because I was concerned about the negative reviews for cleaning and equipment. Upon entering the club I found all of the spaces I used to be clean, the sales and management team to be friendly and helpful.

I’ve been a member for about a year. I have to get surgery so I come in with a doctors note prepared to cancel my appointment. And they tell me I can’t cancel it because THEY don’t have the right staff in today. And I have to come back when they do have one. I made a 45 minute drive just to cancel to get all the way here to then tell me I’m not able to cancel.The thing is, I have surgery and I can’t just come back in

Great place almost like an huge fitness outlet. Only thing missing is sauna and Jacuzzi.

As a prior manager of gyms, I am quite disappointed with this gym.No weights are put back, EVER. Good luck finding weights that you need or being taken up by a massive group of high schoolers.There's only 1 cable row machine that's always taken up.The gym equipment smells as if it has never been cleaned. Half of the cable equipment is brokenThe bathroom always has urine and poop on the floor.The gym has so much potential with the space it has. Completely underutilized.I am willing to change this review based on the follow up actions.

**Poor Management and Facility**As a member of LA Fitness in Edison since December 2023, I've been consistently disappointed with the facility's maintenance and customer service. Despite hefty fees, the ongoing issue with the shower system not functioning properly, resulting in ice-cold showers even during winter, is unacceptable. On March 28, I fell ill after attempting to use the showers due to the lack of warm water. While the manager, Sebastian, assured me of plans to fix the issue, the recurring inconvenience raises doubts about the gym's commitment to member satisfaction. I would rather go to Lifetime if there is one near Edison.

Gym was messy with trash and equipment not organized. Showers don’t have hot water and the bottom starts to fill with water…. Closing message over the intercom at the end of the night “the gym is closed, get out.” Was quite a welcoming experience too lol

I enjoy coming to this location more than Avenel due to its size and machine range. However, I do think though that the management at this location should enforce their employees and even members to put gym equipment away. Membership is not exactly cheap, and it doesn’t make sense for this to not be prioritized if members are paying for a premium gym.

I do not typically go to this LA because I don’t live in the area, however I know it’s a very large location with a lot of variety of equipment which I like and my experience today was worth a negative review. I came in at about 9am on a Sunday and the place was an absolute disaster. I walked in the door and the worker at the front desk was lounging in his chair and didn’t even look up from his phone. Then when I went to the turf area to workout it was horrible. Weights from the squat racks, Dumbell racks etc. were scattered everywhere. It should not be this much of a disaster this early in the am on a Sunday. Now I know this comes with the inconsideration of the people working out, however the staff should maybe start enforcing people putting their equipment away when they are done with it more and or assist with cleaning up misplaced equipment more often. This is a beautiful location but it definitely needs some help in these aspects
