BEWARE!!!! Please check your receipts thoroughly before leaving the store. These people are high class cheats and cash register people are trained to cheat you. Items were ranging with incorrect price. Today April 7th 2023 check# 539825 amount $ 413.60. My cash register person was Diksha 1009. She was very rude and had an attitude. She rang several items twice. Upon being caught she unapologetically started showing her attitude. This store is nothing but a disgrace. If you shop here be very vigilant and ensure you are not being tricked or cheated!!!

Great quality of daals and vegetables and frozen foods. Better than Patel Bros whose refrigeration was not working and the frozen foods were thawing and soft.

Just bought Gujhiyas. Upper maida layer was so hard like Rock and inside filling was dry and sugary. It might be sitting in shelf for days, possibly.

Lots and lots of Indian spices/rice/ and all types of Indian items available here . Quality is good . They also have a live chappati/ parotta maker in a food area .. I like their chappatis but some of the fried items like samosas, kachoris were not that good. It was too oily .. ready to eat/ fresh vegetable subzis are good . Mostly all other products and vegetables are of good quality .. parking is crazy here . Very difficult to get a parking on a weekend or a busy day ... LastLy, pls BEWARE of the billing here . Many times they put wrong quantities or entries while buying (like they put 8 coconuts , but we only bought 4).. also check ur billing before you leave the store. We have had so many experiences with wrong billing in this shop. Hope the owners can take care of this .. otherwise it is a great shop for all desi needs ...

This review is for the fresh prepared food in the back. The samosas are fabulous!! My sister had told me about this place so when I was in NJ with the fam and wanted a good snack before heading to Costco, we stopped here. We headed straight to the back and ordered 10 samosas and some green and red chutney. We went back to the car and dug in. The samosas are hot, nice flaky shell and filled with potatoes, chickpea and green peas. Just enough curry flavor. Drenched in the chutney and boy....The 3 of us ate all of them in minutes. We went back in and brought 20 more to take home. The samosa are .75 each...BARGAIN!! They re-heat perfectly in the oven. I notice a sugar cane machine outside the store before I walked into the place but it was raining so no one was manning it. Hope it's open next time I get some more samosas.

Great spot to pick up groceries and hot samosa, mirch pakora, aloo vada and bread pakora, spring roll and dont forget to get the green sauce ( cilantro ) and they do have the red sauce ( tamarind) but in my opinion the green sauce is excellent while the res sauce lacks the tamarind flavors, instead is more like a sweet red sauce. The samosas are freshly made every few minutes, stuffed with chick peas, spices and potato. Wow we couldn't get enough and when paired with the green sauce, wow get ready for a roller coaster of flavors on your palate. By the way as I write this review, i went back into the store again to take 20 samosas to go to share it with the family since they are so good.

A huge Indian grocery store with a live food counter that serves several types of roti, samosa and a few other packaged snacks. They have a huge variety of Indian desserts too along with your typical fresh produce, meat and dairy. The produce section is towards the left as you enter, behind that is the live food counter, and then you cross over to the isles which contain the rest of your Indian grocery needs along with utensils and frozen products. During my time of visit, the store was moderately filled and there were more people lining up to get fresh rotis rather than the checkout lines. They do have a few organic options but bare in mind, the prices may be on the higher side. Overall, the prices seemed comparable to other similarly stacked Indian grocery stores. They have Covid precautions in place with masks mandatory inside the store. The isles were packed with products and were properly marked. The checkout process was decent and my overall experience was good.

Worst customer service at Edison store of Apna Bazar. I brought a few food items and wasn't satisfied with them, I called the store and was told that I can come back and return it. I drove an hour to return, and was treated the worst way possible. The ladies at the counter talked in their own native language which I believe was Gujarati, totally oblivious to the fact that not everyone speaks their language and later told me that it can not be returned. The condescending manner in which they spoke to me made me feel as if I have done a crime. Then the owner came from somewhere, and actually asked me to smell the food and tell me if it was bad. Never in my life, have I experienced such a behavior at a store in States. All this was happening in front of 20 people in queue, and I was trying my level best to be as calm and silent as possible so they don't get negative publicity, which they hardly cared about. I left as soon as my refund was done, as I was shaken by what all had happened with me in those 15 minutes.

These people have almost everything. Organic (they keep adding more), fresh roties, paranthas, food, fried fun food, fresh veggies and really nice people. Lines are a little slow. Great frozen selection. There are a few things I get from other stores but apna bazaar has it covered 90% of the times. A grade

The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. We wanted to avoid the crowd at a more famous grocer, so drove to this place for a change. The shop is situated in a quaint place surrounded by some more tailors and restaurants. The shop has so many items stacked up left and right from Indian vessels, pooja items to vegetables, pulses and even a small snack shops inside that sells samosas, bakoras and even fresh rotis. We luckily got a sturdy Dosa pan that we have been hunting for a very long time now. In terms of availability, they were short of nothing. Two things that stuck out for me was they could keep the shop little bit tidier as there were some dolls that looked like being permanently exhibited with no buyers and had dust in them and the second thing is that some items lacked a price sticker on them. The person at the checkout also couldn't know the price of the pan that we wanted to buy and had someone walk all the way to its aisle to check its price and we had to wait for a bit longer to get it sorted out.

Apna Bazar is a good source for Indian foods and spices. They redid their layout recently and I found it to be clean and neat. Their prices for produce are well below supermarkets in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, which is important for me as I am not that familiar with Indian foods.

Good variety of grocery at decent prices but this place is a zoo! Customer service is completely lacking and place itself is dirty and stinky.
