Outstanding experience with Avis at Route1. The team at Avis went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable rental experience, special thanks to Bobby. The vehicle was clean, well maintained, and ready for pick up upon arrival. the Staff provided excellent customer service, making the entire process effortless and stress free. I'll definitely be returning to Avis at Route 1 for all my future rental needed.

I rented a Tesla for 3 days with approximately $45/day and they failed to add the Tesla super charger package to the rental which is $14.99/day. I travelled around 1400 miles and used Tesla supercharger along the way. Now my credit card was $400 plus for charging costs because the employee failed to properly add it to the rental. This is so frustrating when rented Tesla to save on gas costs ended up paying 10 times expected amount. Called Avis customer service they basically said that there system won’t allow the refund even though they understand the problem. Writing the review so other don’t get similar experience from this location

Worst experience in a rent-a-car ever, one of the guys at the front desk was very nice but he could do nothing about no getting the car I reserved a month before, and also they charged me 1 day extra (Monday) even though I returned on (Sunday before 11 am) ?????? if I was able to give you guys a 0 star ill give you a super minus - 1 I hope nobody has to go through some nightmare like that again ????????

Avis confirmation number: 35577580US0, They will CANCEL your rental. I booked 2 weeks in advance, I called their location 3 times and confirmed with 3 different people and all of them said that I will have the car since I paid in advanced via my CC. This is the worst location and I plead to Avis corporate to fire the entire management in a heart beat and get more courteous and productive professionals. I was 5 mins away from rental location and someone called and said they have cancelled my rental. I called they have no valid reason and hung up the phone. I again request the corporate to read all these genuine reviews before me and should either close the location or get entire new management from top down, even fire the owner for doing such a bad job. Avis is a franchise and I spoke with other franchises and they all said this is the worst franchise ever. When you cancel a rental because you doing a poor job and being incompetent and no fault of your customers, do you even realize how much pain and sufferings you are causing them apart from monetary losses are separate. No matter what reply you write to me here isn’t going to change anything. So Please do not waste your precious time of performing a bad job, I hope you rather focus on improving it. When I saw other reviews after booking the car, I fear that it will happen with me but I wanting to be optimistic and not panic, but to my worst fear they did cancel my rental. Do read these genuine reviews and do not give them any business. Hopefully corporate looking at their performance will close them down or change the owner. This is the most worst poor performing Avis in the entire world.Please do not reply with me sending you the same exact experience and explanation to your email address, kindly take the above honest genuine review and do something about it for real this time.

This branch denied renting a vehicle for a booking which was made 1 week earlier for a long weekend trip. My whole trip plan was canceled and lost good amount of money due to late cancellation of hotel rooms and other attraction tickets. There is a lady manager at the reception and she was yelling that we need to read terms and conditions which says franchise reserve the right to cancel the booking without any reason . Called Avis customer care and they were rude as well, they don’t bother to listen to this issue. Customers beware these guys will give away your booked vehicle to other customers who offer better booking price though you have a valid reservation. The ratings and reviews of this branch shows the quality of their service

Worst place to rent vehicles from .Booked my car two weeks before to make sure they have the vehicle at time when I need it.Was going for vacation called me two hours before my reservation time claiming that they don’t have vehicles available for rent .Canceled my whole vacation cause of them lost big money for hotel’s reservations.And Only vehicle they have for rent chevy bolt what a joke . Chevy bolt for a 4 people family seriously!I live in same area for this store passed by and was shocked I booked tesla and saw two Teslas front of there store plus they have more than 10 cars available for rent just parked there jeep dodge chevy toyota.I don’t know how this place manage their reservations but this place is a joke completely rip off I didn’t even got my money back after they canceled my reservation.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU NEED TO RENT CARZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Pathetic customer service by the phone attendant. I think there’s only guy managing the entire store and unable to take calls and by chance when he does he either doesn’t have the patience to answer questions or surrounded by customers at the office the entire and unable to answer questions. Useless and unfriendly.

Horrible service by Bobby. Had family come into to town from overseas and he refused to rent to her claiming her license failed on some 365 ID system. Asked him to run my license and he refused because he just didn’t want to serve us. He was rude, raised his voice and I would not recommend to anyone coming into town to rent a vehicle. There are others around route 1 and if you can use one of the franchises in the airport, Better customer service and experience.

Another 1 star review for poor customer service and lack of transparency. Check before you book, wish I did. Booked through Priceline and was never informed I need a credit card for payment because they do not accept out of state debit cards. I had no idea my money doesn’t work the same because I’m visiting from another state. The policy is not written on any of the emails sent nor the fine print sent to me. Only on a printed sheet of paper in the office, with a partial policy, offered to have legal send me the entire policy. Seems shady to have your full policy not available in writing in office. Would never do business here and do not recommend because the company representatives are rude.

Denied my reservation for having a temporary valid driving license. Avis Customer service did confirm that they accept tvdl. But Bobby(manager) had different plans.
