I've had nothing but a great experience at this gym ! Retro is like my home away from home and I am so grateful for all the people I've met along the way !! I've never been more motivated to work out before becoming part of the retro family !

This gym is never cleaned. The showers in the men’s locker room have mold all over the shower curtains. The water fountain also has mold ALL OVER IT. DO BETTER. This isn’t a case of “sorry we forgot to clean.” This is poor leadership and never even thought to clean.
Their bathrooms are filthy, machines are so old that the treadmills have FIRST generation iPhone chargers built into them. Not ports, actual chargers for an iPhone made in 2008. The bathroom has a scale that’s broken. Its toilets are so old their finishes are gone. The mats on the floor are worn out. The people who work here do not leave the front desk and are on their phones. I’ve been coming here 2 weeks and I’m already ready to cancel my membership. This is absolutely unacceptable.
Update: they did respond to the mold complaint immediately and rectified the situation. The fountains and showers are now spotless.

Great Experience at Retro Fitness in East Windsor. Clean, good amenities for the price, and reasonably priced! Employees are nice and friendly.

East Windsor Retro is fantastic! The employees are super helpful and the gym is always clean, which to me is the most important thing when it comes to a gym. Great classes and fun atmosphere.

Retro Fitness is my 2nd home and gym community. I have attended gyms for many years and have found this gym to be the most friendly and welcoming. I moved to the area 3 years ago. From the first time I came in, the staff, instructors and personal trainers were so welcoming and strive to create a fun and challenging environment. The classes here are varied; there is something for everyone. The weights and equipment are in good shape and are replaced when needed. You can even work with a personal trainer and get tasty shakes after your workout. They have all you need to get a great workout. I have would highly recommend it.

I have a fantastic experience at this gym! The members are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which has made all the difference for me. Thanks to this supportive atmosphere, I've started going to the gym regularly and I genuinely look forward to each visit. Highly recommend!

Horrid customer service, kicked out numerous times over the course of a month due to having an ultimate membership while being 17 years old. I purchased the membership in store and they said it was okay to be under 18, but changed their mind after a few months. Just go to crunch fitness instead.

Staff are always welcoming, locker and restroom area are maintained well, plenty of weights and equipment open for use during the weekdays when I go. The members also seem to be nice and in an overall good mood.

I joined Retro Fitness with my Aetna Insurance Silver Sneaker program. I primarily go to take yoga classes because my yoga studio in West Windsor closed post COVID. Sometimes, I use the recumbent bikes and elliptical trainer. They offer a variety of body sculpting, cardio, boot camp, and Zumba classes that I hope to start taking soon... I love my yoga instructors (specially Jahnavi Shah who is amazing and guide each one of us by getting off her mat and going around the room). I only wish the classes prior to yoga had a at least 5 minutes in between to air the multi-purpose room, which gets steamy with the cardio & sculpting classes. The gym is well-equipped with modern new equipment and they have a smoothie bar and even a fridge with pre-packaged meals to go! I have referred several friends, both seniors and younger ones and will continue to do so because it is a great facility conveniently located in our town of East Windsor, NJ. (There is also ample parking,) They offer free trial & guest visits that are great to take advantage of before joining.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY In the past few years we went from premium membership to basic due to their cleanliness, broken equipment, and staff. We ended up canceling our membership in March, but I was still charged in April. I called a week ago for a refund and it turns out nothing had been done. Apparently, the Owner took a month to process my cancelation in the first place which caused the charge on top of not processing the refund. I When I stressed that I needed to get in contact with the owner and this charge has to be refunded, the person I spoke to 'Greg' said $21.31 won't hurt me. Taken aback, I contested his statement, but he reiterated to say it won't hurt them. I asked if he thought waiting a month to process membership cancelations and not even processing a refund after my phone call a week ago was fair. Reluctantly, Greg said it shouldn't have taken that long. He also stated that the owner owns other businesses and is busy. I said I'd leave a review if I wasn't able to speak with the Owner. Greg agreed, that I should leave this review. As representative of retrofitness Greg did an amazing job making me feel like I was just a number and that retro is cavelier about what customers think about them. Ask yourself this, whatever life situation that you are in, do you want to be a member or associated with a business like this?
