April 2024 by Kevin Estrada
April 6, 2024 —Since the manager or head teller freely expressed herself with “DO WHATEVER YOU WANT” after I expressed myself with ‘I will surely be giving a complaint’, well here I am giving you a review that you deserve. Terrible, terrible customer service. Don’t forget that there is Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, TD Bank, Chase Bank and Bank of America all less than a mile away. I can take my money else where with this RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL customer service that this branch provides. I was waiting at the drive up teller line for almost 25 minutes with absolutely no one in front of me at the line. 25 minutes to process a simple 3-5 minute transaction. I then proceeded to go inside thinking it may be quicker. My intention was to simply process my transaction a bit faster after having to wait 25 minutes. When I came into the branch I was greeted by a teller with “We told you there were 4 other customers ahead of you” followed by a woman behind the counter who proceeded to follow up with “YOU NEED TO WAIT!” (Mind you there were no customers in the building when I walked in). 1) I was communicating with the teller, and 2) mind your own business when it has absolutely nothing to do with you directly. Do not stick your nose into business that you CLEARLY have nothing to do with. By far, the worst customer service there is. What do you win with being extremely rude? Some sort of self satisfaction? It’s really not that hard to provide a decent customer service experience. And if it really is too hard for you then clearly this isn’t the type of job for you. What’s worse is not even one apology was given after my transaction was finally completed. I’ve been a Provident Bank Customer for 20+ years and this is by far the worst customer service to date. And I am highly considering taking my business elsewhere. I have worked as a teller myself and in customer service and the only way you keep cliental is by providing at least a ‘decent’ customer service. Don’t hire people that have very poor deescalating skill sets. Also, to the teller, be a bit more professional, don’t piggy back off of someone you work with and have the same rude energy as they do. Seems like this place needs some help and guidance on professionalism. Provident, what are you going to do about it? Keep on hiring unprofessionals?
